As you can guess from the title of this blog, it has been a while since I last posted. My last post was about coming home and that was on July 3rd. Dang...the reason I haven't posted in a long time, or at least as much as I wish I had, is because I have been hanging out with a lot of friends. You know, catching up. After all, it hadbeen two weeks since I saw them. One friend I hadn't even seen until two days ago, Friday! It was really too bad. I always have a great time with him and another friend. We all like hanging out together and going to movies and just messing around sometimes.
So, let's sum up what I've been doing. To save time, it'll just be the past week. On Monday....pfffff. I am trying to remember what I did, because it was such a while ago to me. Instead I'll just give you some main points on my week. I went to see Transformers with my friend, his bro, his mom and myself. I though it was a pretty good movie. It had great special effectsand fights. Oh, the fights. They were just so amazing to watch as 60 ft. robots go at eachother and fight to the death. There were some corny parts of the movie, but hey, it's Transformers. What did you expect? Shia's acting was my favorite of any of his movies. Grats to him for making his career sky rocket after Even Stevens. After the movie we just really hung out at his house and played some World of Warcraft. That game has got to be one of my favorite games of all time. Only because it has what I wish every game had: amazing replay value. Plus, I play with a couple friends and that is always very fun.
Speaking of video games,E3 2007 just ended a couple days ago. For those of you who don't know what E3 is, it's a great event for all the video game press to gather and report and the latest news happening in the video game industry. It's like the Olympics of video games. Anywayz, this E3 was different a few ways. The biggest being that it was downsized this year. This was to accomadate for the plain old craziness of the previous E3s. I didn't really care for this years E3, not because it got downsized but, because there wasn't much new that was reported. Only info. I gathered from it was that Super Smash Bros. Brawl will be released on December 3,there is gonna be two new pherips. for the Wii: the Wii Zapper, which is for gun motion in games, and the driving wheel. Both I think are completely useless, seeing as the just act as holding places for your Wii remote and Nunchuck. Oh well, the wheel will be packaged with Mario Kart and the Wii Zapper will only be $20. I have been waiting to get a Wii so far, because of lack of good games. The main one I want to play is Metroid Prime 3. That will be released very soon. Another game being released very soon, September 25th to be exact, is a little game called Halo 3. I can't wait to pop that one in and play for hours with my friends online. Though, I just had to send in my Xbox 360 for repair/replacement. I just hope it's back before Halo 3 is released.
So enough of games for now, I have been job searching. My first job actually. I have applied at four different places, two of them today. I really hope I don't end up having to work at this one grocery store, bagging. The Store Director there said that anyone under the age of 18 is used as back ups and that there are currently no openings. Also, said he would call if something opened up. At least he actuallytold me that much. Every other store either told me to apply online or I just handed them the application and all I got was a "thanks". Anywayz, wish me luck on the job search, because I am desperate need of some cash. I guess it comes in the "getting older" package.
Oh! I almost forgot! I got my driver's liscense! Thank you, thank you
. It actually has been a long time, seeing as how I turn 17 in October. I just waited on taking the classes because all of my friends are younger than I am. Oh well, now I am liscensed to drive and it's great. Another reason to get a job: getting a car. Being my first car, it's gonna be cheap. I know that. But, hopefully I can work something out with my parents, like a friend of mine is saving for his car and whatever he saves, his dad is matching. Pretty nice in my opinion!
I leave you with this: don't plan your future too much, try taking it head on and just deal with what happens then and there. You'd be suprised at how it can work out sometimes.
