I have noticed that online is the big thing right now in gaming. Playing online is fun but what happened to playing games with someone right next to you. It seems like more and more games are focusing more on online gameplay and neglecting traditional multiplayer. When I first played Socom I was excited because I knew that it was online capable. So I assumed that there was a 2-player feature. Even some modern games that do have multiplayer don't really put as much effort into it as online gameplay. I seriously miss playing games like Contra and Double Dragon with my brother. Most games now are boring to play co-op because the best features are online...
