It sorta struck me recently that there are inherently two types of people that play games: those that just want to relax and enjoy some good quality entertainment and those that are more competitive about their gaming.

Competitive gamers would be those gamers that enjoy competitive multiplayer action with hundreds of people from around the world. A prime example would be a first-person shooter gamer who enjoys games like counter-strike or call of duty 2. But you can find competitive gamers everywhere and in all different forms of games.

Then we have the entertainment gamers which are really just out to have a good time and enjoy themselves. A prime example of an entertainment gamer would be someone that enjoys the RPG genre and plays games like World of Warcraft. Same deal, you can find lots of entertainment gamers in every gaming genre (in fact they number more than the competitive gamers).

I'd say that I lean more towards the competitive side of gaming; however, I like to have another game at my side (usually a RPG) to relax with. That way I can enjoy competitive gaming without losing my sanity (or alternatively, turning into an elitist bastard).

So which are you?

I am really looking forward to the release of Neverwinter Nights 2.I was a big fan of the original Neverwinter Nights and I hope that the sequl lives up to the title by delivering everything I've been hearing about and then some.

I really hope that they have done a good job with the main campaign this time around. I enjoyed the original's campaign but I didn't feel like it lived up to that of previous games by Bioware, such as Baldur's Gate II.

I like the idea that there will be an influence system incorporated into this title as well as the idea of being able to choose your character's background disposition (bully, hero etc) so that other characters within the game will recognise you.
What it will really come down to in my mind will be how well they have improved the toolset. The ability to make your modules is what really pushed the original Neverwinter Nights over the line for me. It really allowed me to flex my creative muscle and set to work coming up with my own stories; whilst simultaneously enjoying work by other people.

If it is pulled off right then I think Neverwinter Nights 2 has the potential to be a killer game, one that may go down in the history books as a classic. Or at least thats what I'm hoping.

Some people just don't have opinions. Like Inf3rnus88.
Inf3rnus88 must really love MovieTome and agree with every review we've ever written! What other reason could Inf3rnus88 possibly have for not rating a single film?
