I'll try to do a real blog later, but I'm going to a women's retreat this weeekend, so I don't know when I'll get the blog done. My brother and his wife are moving to a differnt apartment this weekend (one that doesn't smell like smoke) and I have to miss it. Darn!

Looks like we're both going to have an eventful weekend.

I used to produce promotional materials for a group that held "men's retreats." They would hang out in sweat lodges, run off into the woods, banging on drums around a big fire, getting in touch with their Inner Dude. Is it like that? Or is it baking, sewing and stuff?

You guys are a hoot! LOL. Nothing so mundane, tuckgraph. We respite to a fancy motel and eat food with french names like croissants and baguettes. And especially chocolat. There may be some group trips to the ladies room, but not all 500 of us at once.

The voting will stay open until we have at least a majority of the people voting. There's no rush. Hopefully most people will vote soon so we can get that topic out of the way. Even though I finished my triathlon this past Sunday, I'm still distracted with other things (including other races) so I hope I don't forget to post my own picks for the contest!

I never managed a swoop on one of your blogs before! This must be a sign that I'm going to have a good day.
I never liked the sound of "women's retreat". It gives the mental image of running away and I know that my I-Mom is too tough a bird to ever do that. Let's go with "women's respite" instead.
