I'm just writing this blog to give you an update on my gaming status, if you are interested, keep reading.
Since my last blog I've been playing two new games; Heavy Weapon: Atomic Tank and Viewtiful Joe.
A few days ago Heavy Weapon: Atomic Tank came out on PSN. It actually was released on XBLA more then a year ago, but just now it came to PSN. I liked the demo a lot so I decided to buy it. It's a really fun side-scrolling shoot 'em up. It has 3 games modes, mission, survival, and boss blitz. Basically, mission mode is the main single player mode where you go through levels blowing a bunch of crap up, it has 19 levels total. Survival is essentially the party mode; you can play up to 4 players and try to survive as long as possible, and compare your rankings on the online leader boards, so it makes it fun trying to get to the top of the rankings, you can do this locally or online. I haven't played boss blitz yet because I need to complete the mission mode to unlock it, but I'm sure it's a lot of fun too. The music is awesome as well.
Viewtiful Joe. I never got to play this game back in its day, so I am renting it from gamefly right now. I see why some people really like this game; it's a very unique 2.5D beat 'em up, with a very interesting and funny story. I'm enjoying it.
On the topic of gamefly, after I send Viewtiful Joe back I'm planning on renting the amazing grand savior for hardcore Wii owners, (sarcasm) The Conduit. Yeah this game is way over hyped, and the worst part about it is that the developers that are making the game are the ones that are hyping it the most.It has potential though, fully customizable controls and online might make it a pretty good game. It's officially released tomorrow, most likely won't be in stores until Wednesday or Thursday, I hate that, but at least at gamefly they say it won't be available until the 25th, yeah, gamefly actually tells you when it's going to be available.
Who else is planning on buying/renting The Conduit? And do you guys agree that it's over hyped?
Besides those games, I'm still playing Valkyria Chronicles. I'm almost at the end of the game, there are 18 chapters in the game and I'm on chapter 15. Thus far, words can't describe how epic the journey has been.
That's all I got, see you next time.
I was going to write a mini blog review about this game, but as I started writing (typing actually)I couldn't get the words out right. Their really is no way to say how amazing this game is, words cannot express it. All I can truly say is if you own a PS3 and you don't own this game, you fail. Okay, I know that was a bit harsh but seriously, if you own a PS3 and you don't own this game. Go buy it this instant. It's an experience like no other.
Muramasa: The Demon Blade (Wii)
Batman: Arkham Asylum (PS3)
Uncharted 2: Among Thieves (PS3)
New Super Mario Bros. Wii (Wii, obviously)
ModNation Racers (PS3)
Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack in Time (PS3)
Metroid: Other M (Wii)
Super Mario Galaxy 2 (Wii)
All of these games and a lot of others shown at E3 look so awesome! I can't wait to play them all.
Well I don't have very much to say right now, but expect a little more frequent blogging in the near future. It's been crazy here. The whole month of May, Relatives from Cyprus and Greece have been visiting us, but they are all gone now. So it's a little more peaceful around here now. (Greeks are loud) See you next time.
