I believe this is old news, but I had no idea, my favorite game series is going to be a movie! Kojima Productions distributed a catalog for upcoming games at E3 2006, which included an article on the film project. In it, Kojima stated "I have received many offers to adapt Metal Gear Solid. It has taken a long time, but we have finally settled on an arrangement," said the revered designer. "False facts aside, a movie project is underway. I have finalized a Class-A contract with a party in Hollywood." Kojima did not mention the name of the party, a release date, or any potential directors or stars. The movie will be distributed by Universal.

Yet another video game movie..... Been alot of these lately, hopefully the movie is as good as the game....

I've only played MGS2, but its an awesome game (and I usually don't like stealth type games). I wonder what the movie will be like.

If this movie is really coming out, it will prolly be based on the first "arc" (shadow moses) I'm interested in seeing if this is gonna belive action. Psycho Mantis live-action would deffinatley be a memorable fight seen in such a movie.

Yeah, I whish I played the first game. The second one was just too confusing story-wise, because I've never played the first one. I remember I played a little bit of the third one when you were over at my house. I like that whole idea of a prequel. The movie might be based off of Big Boss for all we know. Well, IDK, if it is based off of the first one, who do you think will act as snake?

I loved MGS2, but I also love MGS3 I hope they can make the whole series into movies. I think they have the best stories and cutscenes in any game. It was meant to be a movie.

Yeah....well to me, the game practically is a movie. lol 
Still, a live action movie will be awesome! I still can't think of who will play Snake, or Otacon, or Big Boss (if he's in it), or Raiden (if he's in it). Damnit, this is actually driving me crazy....
