It's a blog. F***ing brilliant.

If you want to track me, go ahead, but only if I've seen you before. Otherwise, go away, or make yourself known to me. Also, if you send me an invite to a union you may be subject to my wrath.

The more you try to erase me, the more that I appear. Yes, it's another installment of...

INSTANT HYPER!

MUSIC

I recently bought Greatest Hits by Foo Fighters and The Eraser by Thom Yorke. I usually stay away from greatest hits collections, but since I am a mild Foo Fighter collector (having all of their albums and DVDs) I couldn't resist. Plus, the lure of the acoustic version of Everlong was too strong.

The Eraser is weird, so I love it. Gotta love Thom Yorke and his crazy electronic ways.

Song of the Month: The Captain, Biffy Clyro

Biffy Clyro aren't well known in the States, but over here they're kind of a big deal. This new single from their soon-to-be-released new album Only Revolutions should explain why. If not, check out Machines and Folding Stars from their previous album, Puzzle.

VIDEO GAMES

I know I was supposed to complete Okami, but the release of Uncharted 2: Among Thieves put a spanner in the works, followed by my simultaneous purchases of Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story and Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days. And then, my TV packed up.

Great.

ON GS

Ooh, one left on my Top 10 Final Fantasy Characters list. Aren't you excited?

Other than that, it's same old same old. Thinking about increasing the rate of my blogging though.

And another new theme! It's Lavi from D.Gray-man, which I will use until I finish my planned Sonic Kuma-chan theme.

It's gonna be awesome.

ANIME AND MANGA

Started reading Vampire Knight to see what the fuss is about. I'm afraid I like it. Ouran High School Host Club too. The fact that the majority of my manga readings are now shojo is slightly worrying me.

Still, I have Bleach and D.Gray-man, which has made its grand return, to keep me somewhat masculine. Plus, I watched Afro Samurai, which is just badass. It has Samuel L. Jackson in. 'Nuff said.

I am also watching a new anime series, Kuchu Buranko, otherwise known as Trapeze. It is unbelievably messed up.

I also went to an anime and manga expo with a couple of my friends, where I bought a toy Mameshiba, a Kingdom Hearts necklace, a Gloomy Bear, and a £30 wooden Keyblade, which I then decided I didn't want, tried to return, got refused, then gave to my friend.

Can't wait 'til the next one!

LIFE

It's been meh. I have a lot of work to do, which sucks.

It's also been raining a lot recently. I love the rain, though I'm not sure why. But then again I'm British, so you have to get used to it.

I could do some witty remark here, but I can't be arsed. See ya.

OMG! Number two! It's nearly over!

#2: Sephiroth

Sephiroth from Final Fantasy VII is one of the most iconic villains in gaming history. Everything about him yells villain: his long silver hair, his long black coat, and of course, his seven foot long katana, but what really seals it is his personality: cold, ruthless, and chilling well-spoken, not to mention filled with complexes. But he wasn't always so; he was originally a reasonably kind, if somewhat overly-professional.

However, this changed once Sephiroth discovered the (apparent) truth behind his origins; that he was the product of an experiment to recreate the ancient race of the Cetra by injecting cells of an apparent Cetra, Jenova, into his fetal form. Unbeknownst to everyone involved, however, Jenova was in actuality a parasitic alien life form bent on destruction.

When Sephiroth found this out, he was driven completely insane. He burned down the city of Nibelheim, and after a large amount of attempts to stop him, he was eventually defeated by Cloud Strife, the main character of the game. This created a complex relationship as throughout the game Sephiroth emotionally tortures Cloud, cruelly taunting his inability to save his friends. Even after death, his memory continues to linger in Cloud's mind.

And oh yeah...

AERITH!!! NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

At the suggestion of one of my friends, I have decided to make a deviantART profile. You may not have known, but I am fond of art, and I'm alright (I suppose) at drawing.

Here are some of my works.

Kuma-chan, my mascot. Drawn in pencil, outlined in ink and coloured using GIMP...

And this is him in a Mario costume...

And these are just some abstract drawings...

Yes, I'm odd.

Anyway, if any of you use deviantART, please add me as a friend.

Here is a link to my profile:

Well, toodles.

Who saw this coming?

#3: Vivi Orunitia

I hold the firm belief that Final Fantasy IX is one of the most underappreciated entries in the Final Fantasy franchise. Many were turned off by its cartoonish appearance and fantasy setting and considered it childish. Those who think that have obviously never played it. FFIX is an engaging game, humorous yet serious, and light-hearted yet moving. A key example of this would be the character of Vivi.

At the game's start, Vivi is extremely gullible, being tricked into buying a fake ticket for a play. He then sneaks into the play, where he meets the main character of the game, Zidane, and gets dragged into the events that follow. At first, Vivi was rather cowardly and afraid to fight, preferring to avoid confrontations. However, this soon changed after he entered the Black Mage Village, where his existence was explained.

It turned out that Vivi was a black mage created by the game's antagonist Kuja, a race designed to 'stop' after a year. This was obviously devastating to the young mage, and caused a change in his outlook in life.

Throughout the game, Vivi develops as a character in a very believable and, dare I say it, sweet manner. In fact, that pretty much sums up Vivi: he's sweet. Like seriously, sweet. His endearing nature has made him into one of my favourite characters in the series, and I believe that he fully deserves this spot.

I have been tagged by ma cherie, n-re. So I must post 10 things about myself. Well, I don't have to, but n-re has ways of making you do things.

Anyway...

  1. I'm mixed-race; half white, half afro-carribean.
  2. I play the guitar, bass guitar, and the ukulele.
  3. I'm mildly obsessed with bears. (Especially ninja bears. They're awesome.)
  4. My biggest gaming influence is my cousin, Abgoj, who I try to beat at every opportunity. And I do. 'Cause I'm awesome.
  5. I constantly drink Lucozade, an energy drink.
  6. My favourite anime/manga is Cardcaptor Sakura, despite the fact that it's meant for girls.
  7. I am a heterosexual male, contrary to some people's beliefs.
  8. I'm agnostic.
  9. My oldest friend on here, excluding Abgoj, is DesertClawX2X, who I met at Wikipedia, of all places. We started out by arguing.
  10. I love acting.

I shall now tag Abgoj, MarioGirl64, and DesertClawX2X. Abgoj because he probably won't do it, MG because it'll be rather entertaining, and X2X because I feel like it.

This is also my 100th blog, but I'm not gonna celebrate it, 'cause I'm such a rebel.
