So I skipped a fact last week, let us make up for that.
Interesting fact #254:
The state of Iowa has changed the name of the Department of Elder Affairs to the Department of Aging. Many people are objecting to the new name, especially when being referred to by the inevitable acronym.
Acronym? DOA? Dead on arriva...
no wait, that's wrong. >.>
Fortunately (after some digging) I found out that the official acronym will be DA. Link. People are still objecting to the name change though.
Interesting fact #255:
68-year-old Linda Wolfe, has been married 23 times (most married woman in history according to some), and is currently looking for husband #24. - The Sun:
Apparently her shortest marriage was 36 hours >_>
Speaking of aging and the number 24, it's my birthday today and I turn 24 (really felt like this birthday came out of nowhere). Aaaand I feel like I'm the exact same person that I was when I was 16... just taller.
But aging is not so bad when you consider the alternatives... so let's celebrate. Yay for me.

Comments
I do object to the use of The Sun *spits on the ground* but then, it could hardly be helped ^_^
Liquid - I checked it out, replied to it too
PJ24 - Always assume that I am that kid... even though I'm not that fat >_>
Egonga - Ah, nothing makes me feel more like kid than being called a wily old coot. And the Sun is such a funny tabloid
Caddy06 - Thanks buddy.
I thank you all for the congrats ^.^
PS. I might not be on much today, but I'll try to check back quickly later tonight. Have a great weekend until then.
Wow, I'm almost an exact month younger than you.
Yes, I don't think I've grown much/changed since 16 either.
@Egonga - Don't mention it, how can I resist spoiling a cute little tike like yourself.
@Yagr_Zero - You almost make it sound like you expected me to be A LOT older
@gbrading - Maybe I have changed a little in other ways >_> like my hair's different too I think...
@Darthzew - Wow, thanks for that fact. If you want my opinion, you have to be pretty unsure about your sexuality if your hiding your real age because of a reason like that.
@N-REAL - It's whatever you want it to be
To the rest of the guys and gals who commented, glad you enjoyed the facts and thank you again for the congrats *sniff* ...so many people who care...
I'm still 19 and birthdays already lost their meaning to me. I don't celebrate them anymore, nor do I think anyone would even notice them.
@VixDiesel - Thank you ^.^ Happy "b"-day can be interpreted in different ways for us two though...
@MAILER_DAEMON - I didn't really realize it either until I read your blog last month. I thought you were a 118 year old wise hermit living in a mountain somewhere
@-Katsuri- Well, yeah, it doesn't really mean much, I am the same person I was a week ago, the only thing that has changed is a number, but it's a good excuse to throw a party or call an old friend and say congrats or look back at your accomplishments over the year... or... I guess we have New Years for that. Anyway, if you've changed for the worse now... then I can't imagine how cool the younger you must have been
@N-REAL - Really? I always imagined the best time of my life to be the days when I've retired, I got grand children visiting regularly, and a trip around the world planned next week with my wife... but yeah, I guess this time of my life is good too.
@NeutralDamage - Thanks. And yeah, maybe 24 since the article was written >_>
@horgen123 - I'm not sure about that, but I bet some people will call it that even if it's not official >.>
DOA? Could be worse ... maybe it's just me, but "Department of Elder Affairs" elicits some pretty disturbing images. ![]()
H' B'day HB!
And if I met my 12 or 13-year old self, I would probably also notice some slight differences beyond physical size
Vix - I was thinking happy "Bleach"-day, not sure what you were thinking about
Yoweeh
That's really... odd. Who would marry her knowing she's be married 23 times? I wonder what kind of woman she is if she got divorced 23 times as well...
