Saying that my time here at Gamespot "has been a good run" does not satisfy me.
In light of recent events, I've decided that my time here at Gamespot really was not as meaningful as I initially thought. When I came to Gamespot, I found a community that I could come to often and discuss something that I love. Not only that, but the site's service were the best out there, and I really started to connect to it.
After Rich Gallup left, I was saddened, but I really understood his own reasoning and why he departed. However, Jeff Gerstmann was put down after unfair circumstances, and now I have decided, along with many others, to leave Gamespot. Maybe not for good; I may lurk here for a little while, just to see if any news about Jeff comes up. However, my forum activity shall not be turned to the other communities that I'm a part of. I cannot take the kind of BS that has happened here in recent days.
If you wish to remain in contact with me, you can find me at the following places:
AIM: HobbyHeretic
The Official Elder Scrolls Forums
Spartan Dominion Forums
The new Microsoft Union board (if you're in the union here on Gamespot, you'll know where to find it)
And, possibly, 1up (doubtful, but it might serve as my alternative for gaming reviews, etc. purposes)
If Gamespot can be so easily turned into a pile of trash, then I wish to stay here no longer. Unfair events like these are things that just turn something inside-out, and I have no intention of sticking around under these conditions. I may be back if these events unfold in a good manner (unlikely), but if not, then farewell Gamespot. I've had fun.
