Are all Next-Genners lost without HD TV's?
This is what I truly want to know. Is the PS3 or the Xbox 360 useless without a Plasma HD view? Are those $500 systems' glasses half empty without their Plasma consorts?
It's common knowledge that a PS3 is meant to go hand-in-hand with a Plasma or LCD. The controversy I have seen many struggle with concerns the graphics without a 64" Plasma monster. There are some rumors that PS3 games just look like PS2 games on a CRT or Flat sceen. Slight exaggeration, my chums. None of the higher-end PS3 games aren't PS2 games on PS2 discs, the graphics aren't going to look-so.Although, the crisp details in these games are going to look better when displayed on a LCD or Plasma. The key word was "better", this doesn't mean scribble a Next-Gen off your wish-list if you can't afford a Plasma screen.
If the real-enough-to-touch hair of Next-Gen characters is all that revs your engine, then by all means, save up those bucks for a new tv. Though, Lacking an HD shouldn't scare all others away. Look forward to the ever-returning franchises on each system, experiance the new story lines in Dead or Alive 4 on the 360 and explore unknown territory with Bioshock on PS3. Don't let apassion for the best or nothing at all keep you from living the awesome Next-Gen games offered.
There are always less expensive routes to take. I personally am planning on investing $280-$300 on a 24" LCD Widescreen Monitor to switch between my computer and consoles. This $280-$300 Monitor is snazzy for its family but less-painful than it's $1000+ Plasma siblings. Also efficient for my smallish bedroom. Shop around in your price range, I find Best Buy and Craigslist [A HUGE gathering of lots of people just like you, trying to sell various electronics and more] very helpful. If planning on using a monitor for consoles, be sure to research what cables or adapters you may need for your console.
Don't let Next-Gen consolesattachment to HD/plasma screens scare you away, if you really want to experiance tons of amazing games.
