It's nearly here, the show (almost) everyone's been talking about airs next Monday on Five.

FlashForward has brilliant credentials; It's directed by 24's Brannon Braga and created by award-winning writers such as Blade's David S.Goyer, but will it live up to the hype? Many are dubbing it the next Lost, and frankly I hope it's better that that. Don't get me wrong, I loved Lost, but it's become way too confusing and that's really sucked the life out of it for me.

Luckily we won't have to wait too long to find out if it's as good as everyone's saying (including our American team, here at TV.com, who've already seen the pilot), it airs next week, just four days after its US premiere. How brilliant is that! The speed at which American acquisitions are now making their way over to the UK is really starting to look up. Please take note, BBC.

On TV.com UK:

Thanks to everyone who gave their suggestions about the TV.com UK podcast. We'll be making our way onto iTunes soon and your ideas have been really incisive for us--we want to make it as in-tune to you guys as possible.

We're also working hard to bring you more original features. What do you guys think about the Merlin and Peep Show previews and reviews that were added last Friday? We're going to be adding an increasing amount of original written content, including more features and reviews, and we'd love to know what you'd like to see.

Orphan Guides:

As the new season of TV kicks off there are a growing amount of new shows in need of a loving editor. I'm aware that many of you are reluctant to take them on at the moment, but as there are some really decent shows on their way I thought I'd mention it anyway. Here are the highlighted British orphan guides:

Doc Martin / School of Comedy / Paradox / Off the Hook / Trinity /

TV.com UK is working hard to perfect its podcast ready for launch in the coming months. We're hoping to bring you regular TV updates, news and honest reviews but to do that we need your help…

This week we'll be recording a pilot, which focuses on the series finale of Dollhouse, and we'd love to get your opinions on the show. Have you been watching it?

Personally, I've only seen a few episodes but my fellow TV.com podcasters, Ben and Ian, tell me I need to get my act together and tune in properly. I don't mind spoilers so I'll be watching tonight to see what all the fuss is about, and obviously I'll need to know my stuff when we record the podcast.

In the pilot this week we'll be picking our favourite user review of the episode and we want your comments on the finale too. What are you expecting? Where do you think it will go next year? Share your thoughts here and the best will get a shout out in our latest pilot podcast!

The first series of Joss Whedon's sci-fi drama, Dollhouse, finished tonight at 9pm on Sci-Fi.

Hey everyone!

I don't know about you but I'm finding TV's latest offerings to be pretty poor at the moment. Don't get me wrong, there are some good eggs out there such as True Blood and The Street, but since the end of Gossip Girl on ITV2 things have taken a nosedive for me.

Top Gear concluded for another series last week as did Psychoville but luckily I'm filling the void with lots of TV DVDs. Also, I'm very excited that The Inbetweeners will be returning!

What I've been watching:

So, have I mentioned that I like True Blood? I have... oh… well, it really is brilliant. I'm a few episodes ahead now thanks to preview discs and it definitely gets better in time (and that's saying something – it was brilliant to begin with). The repeats of Gossip Girl on ITV2 are also entertaining me -- I'd forgotten how much they'd all changed!

30 Rock, Scrubs and Supernatural are doing the rounds in my DVD player and I think they're all great. Supernatural is a rather slow-starter but there's a gem of an episode starring Julie Benz in the first series called Faith. I'd recommend you give it a watch if you haven't already seen it.

On TV.com UK:

There are a few changes in pipe-line for the UK version of TV.com but don't worry they aren't the kind that are likely to produce bugs.

We're acquiring more, and more, video with regular clips of True Blood, Reaper and ReGensis being added to the site each week.

There's also been another recording of the TV.com UK podcast, which we're trying to perfect for a launch in the near future.

Some of you may know that the Weekend Quiz, which gave prizes to those who could answer the most TV-related questions correctly, has now been scrapped. Instead we're hoping to run a regular competition in our podcast and sporadically on the site.

For those of you who didn't know - we're also on Twitter and Facebook now too. You can join us @TVdotcomUK on Twitter and at the TV.com UK page on Facebook.

Orphan Guides:

There are still quite a few British TV shows that would really appreciate a loving editor, perhaps you'd be interested in adopting some or know someone who might be? Orphan shows include:

The Street / Who Do You Think You Are? / Desperate Romantics / Doc Martin

In the world of Heather_H:

We had a work party last week, here at CBS Interactive, where everyone dressed up in Hawaiian outfits. It was a really good turn out and everyone got involved with the limbo and general fancy dress. We had a lot of strange looks while we were walking from our office to the bar mind, but then again we were carrying inflatable palm trees and bananas across London while wearing grass skirts and lays…

What have you been up to?

Heather_H must really love MovieTome and agree with every review we've ever written! What other reason could Heather_H possibly have for not rating a single film?
