This is pretty much a pointless post...I'm working the graveyard shift at the store, and I'm waiting to get outta here at 8:30. But I can't go home after, I still gotta drop off one last piece of paperwork to the college before I can head home to bed. With a little luck, I'll be home around noon, get an hour or two's worth of sleep before I head back into town to run some more errands with the little woman.

Besides, rest is overrated, anyway. There's nothing more refreshing than going through the day in a sleep deprived state of psychosis. Makes standing in line that much more interesting.

You are correct sir, and it makes for great fluid conversations!

I really, REALLY hope you don't have to drive yourself around. Man, I remember when I had to work on a graveyard shift as well *shudder* those where dark days.

And now something completely related: Link I hope it doesn't creep you out too much, now seriously, get some real sleep.

I knowthat sleep deprived feeling because we are feeding a baby 3 times a night. What a rush!

Those who say sleep is overrated have just been deprived of it for too long.

I agree, standing in line is way more interesting when you act like a zombie.

@Gen Warbuff: Definitely. Nothing is more fun than asking a passerby "Gvkdfjlvavbvalvfdhj?" (Gibberish for "What time is it"?)

@SciFiCat: I'll be taking the bus after I get outta here; Being that I only live 10 min walking distance from my house to the video store, driving is unnecessary.

@Travo basic: Compared to you, I got it easy.

@JustPlainLucas: That's true. I don't think I had a full 8 hours of sleep since the mid-90s, no joke. If I can get at least 4 hours solid sleep, I can function for the rest of the day...more or less.

@sammyjenkins898: Especially when you start drooling in front of people. That'll get them to back up a few feet or so.

Oh no you need more sleep than that, sir! Hopefully you're napping it up while I type this.

I can relate as I tend to think that if I get 6 hours of sleep in somehow that is enough to get by.

i can relate to the night shift. I've been working it for 6 years now. I'm working a split shift now. 9pm-12am i sleep until 7 then work 8am -1pm then baby sit from 1:30pm -6:30pm It's not as bad as i thought it was going to be. Living 10 min from work helps too!
