Greetings, one and all.

It's 4 am, and it's freaking dead working the video store. (I guess not too many people want to rent The Legend of Chun Li, or get their porno fix this early in the morning.) Because I'm about to start college in a little over a month, I've switched my working schedule to make it easier to go to school full time, in addition to working at the store, also full time. Yeah, I know it's gonna be tough working non-stop, but like most things in life, nothing ever comes easy. The reason I'm doing both full time is because in order to get the most out of my G.I. Bill benefits, I'd have to go to school full time...that's an extra estimated $1300 a month, along with my full time pay at the store. It's gonna help to have some extra cash squirreled away in case of emergencies. I'm anxious to start college, but a little nervous as well. It's been 13 years since I graduated high school, so there's a slight bit of anxiety. For those who are curious, I'm going for my associate in paralegal degree. At least my first semester's tuition is already paid for, so there's one less headache to worry about.

I might try to get in one last DVD Review before classes start next month, and maybe another blot within the week; it'll either be about how remakes/relaunches aren't THAT bad, or why Michael Bay isn't the worst director in the world, despite what some people may think. Anyway, that's it for now. Talk to you soon...

P.S. - To JPL: Have patience going for the gold in Prototype. Some of those events are tough (still working on them myself,) but you'll do just fine.

Later, people...

4am at the video store! Does anybody ever come in during those hours? Good luck with school!

To Gen Warbuff: Not as many people during normal hours, but we do get a semi-steady clip of customers; most of them from the 24hr Fitness chain down the street, curious on what we have to offer.

Best of luck with school.

Hats off to you that you would go back to college now. I wish I was brave enough to go back now.

@ Travo basic: Thanks, but I'm kicking myself for not going in sooner. I've kept putting it off after I got out of the Air Force back in late '03. This was something that was LONG overdue. At least I won't be alone...my fiancee will be going to college to become a nurse come spring. Plus, it's also out of necessity; I can't be trapped running the store forever. It'll be kinda hard to bring up a kid one day on this kind of salary.

Full-time student and full-time work....that's a hard row to hoe, brother. I double-majored in college and had the extreme luxury of not having to work at all...and I still graduated feeling like I hadn't slept in five years. Best of luck, get plenty of rest, and, most importantly, keep a good eye on your health when things get really hectic and out-of-control. And I never knew you served in the military.....a personal, heartfelt thanks from me and my family to you for your service, sir.

I wish you the best of luck in school!

To Creeping Wolf: Thank you ever so much for those kind words. Whenever I hear someone who has served in the military would once in a while run into someone who appreciates what they have done for their country, they would experience a feeling that is beyond description; that what they have done was, in fact, worthwhile. I now understand that feeling. Thank you.

To Samwel X: Thanks, bro. Something tells me I'm gonna need all the luck I can get.

To Allicrombie: I'm still amazed I've decided on this particular career path. Maybe it's from watching all those reruns of Law and Order over the years, who knows?

To Saintleonidas: Thanks. How's school been treating you? BTW, love The Office banner on your blog; really cool.

Wow.. didn't know video stores stayed open that late.. I just got Chun Li in from the library and I'll probably watch that tomorrow. And yeah, I'm determined to get gold on all the events in Prototype. It's just a matter of being persistent.

To JustPlainLucas: Being that our store is of the mom-and-pop variety, we're open 24/7/365. And as far as The Legend of Chun Li goes, if it didn't have the namesake going for it, you'd never know it was based on the Street Fighter franchise.

Hey buddy I haven't talked to you or seen you on OT in a while but congrats on going back to school! I start in the fall too as a freshman though and I'm pretty nervous as well, and I'll be working part time too.

Anyways Goodluck
