Cartoon Network (In England) have finally aired the new epi's of Storm Hawks. Time to celebrate. And we just got a new 42" plasma tv, better picture quality etc. Even more celebration.

Even better is that the first one aired today was Royal Twist. Which I have to say is one of my favourite episodes, with the best Cyclonian 'goon squad'. Nightcrawlers look even cooler on tv than they do on you tube. You've gotta love the vampires of Atmos.

In other news. I had a three day insight course with the Royal Artillery. Getting up at five every morning and going to bed at ten thirty at night. Then spending most of the day sat in a lecture hall listening to some guy talking about stuff we already knew. Great. Very helpful. Very pointless. The course was just to see what it was like in the Artillery, so, you would think that only people interested in the artillry would go on it. Wrong. One guy wanted to be in the air corps, and another was interested in the navy! Such a worthwhile waste of time that was.

Next, I've finally got my copy of Fable II. While it isn't exactly perfect, it is pretty damn close. Especially when compared to the original. You get to play as either a boy or girl, though you get lumped with the name Sparrow, until you find a title 'vendor' of course. You can even settle down and have kids with your spouse. Or not. Depends on your taste I guess. The best part of the game, is the dog you get. It's REALLY cute. And there's a pretty decent bad guy too. In other words, just get the game.

Now lyrics. Personally I think this song seems pretty random, but hey.

Alanis Morissette - Not As We Lyrics
Reborn and shivering
Spat out on new terrain
Unsure, unconvincing
this faint and shaky hour

Day one, day one
Start over again
Step one, step one
I'm barely making sense
For now I'm faking it
'Til I'm pseudo-making it
From scratch, begin again
But this time I as "I"
And not as "we"

Gun-shy and quivering
Timid without a hint
Feign brave with steel intent
Little and hardly here

Day one, day one
Start over again
Step one, step one
With not much making sense
Just yet I'm faking it
'til I'm pseudo-making it
From scratch, begin again
But this time I as "I"
And not as "we"

Eyes wet,
Toward wide open frayed
If God is taking bias,
I pray he wants to lose

Day one, day one
Start over again
Step one, step one
I'm barely making sense
Just yet I'm faking it
'Til I'm pseudo-making it
From scratch, begin again
But this time I as "I"
And not as "we"

Yes. I'm crazy.... And probably quite pointless.

Point one today: I've been given the medical all clear to join the army.I now need to go in to the recruitment office for a couple of interviews. The first is with Sam, the guy helping me with my application, the second will be with his boss person. I've narrowed my jobs down to MLRS, Light Gunner and UAV Operator. I will be going on a 'look at life' with the royal artillery aoon, if they can get me on the course this time around. Whoo.

Point two: Lyrics.

The Circle Game - Joni Mitchell

First off, I would like to point out that I like this song's lyrics, and a version sung by a friend of mine, not the version by this artist.

Yesterday a child came out to wander
Caught a dragonfly inside a jar
Fearful when the sky was full of thunder
And tearful at the falling of a star
Then the child moved ten times round the seasons
Skated over ten clear frozen streams
Words like, when youre older, must appease him
And promises of someday make his dreams
And the seasons they go round and round
And the painted ponies go up and down
Were captive on the carousel of time
We cant return we can only look behind
From where we came
And go round and round and round
In the circle game

Sixteen springs and sixteen summers gone now
Cartwheels turn to car wheels thru the town
And they tell him,
Take your time, it wont be long now
Till you drag your feet to slow the circles down
And the seasons they go round and round
And the painted ponies go up and down
Were captive on the carousel of time
We cant return we can only look behind
From where we came
And go round and round and round
In the circle game

So the years spin by and now the boy is twenty
Though his dreams have lost some grandeur coming true
Therell be new dreams, maybe better dreams and plenty
Before the last revolving year is through
And the seasons they go round and round
And the painted ponies go up and down
Were captive on the carousel of time
We cant return, we can only look behind
From where we came
And go round and round and round
In the circle game

Point three: I've finally gotten hold of another Final Fantasy game, Final Fantasy IX, And I've decided I love Chocobos. For those who don't know, a Chocobo is a large yellow bird. Or dark blue. Or red. Or golden. Or pale blue. And is the cutest bird in existence. Check out:

First off, some lyrics. This is for Anny, cuz it's my favourite Dido song atm:

See the sun - Dido

I'm coming round, to open the blinds
You can't hide here any longer.
My god you need, to rinse those puffy eyes,
You can't lie still any longer

And yes they'll ask you were you've been,
And you'll have to tell them, again and again,

And you probably don't wanna hear,
tomorrow's another day,
But I promise you you'll see the sun again,
And you're asking me,
why pains the only way to happiness
And I promise you you'll see the sun again.

Come on take my hand,
We're going for a walk, I know you can,
You can wear anything, So long as it's not black,
And please don't mourn forever, she's not coming back.

And yes they'll ask you where you've been,
And you'll have to tell them, again and again,

And you probably don't wanna hear,
tomorrows another day,
But I promise you you'll see the sun again,
And you're asking me why pains the only way to happiness,
And I promise you you'll see the sun again

Do you remember telling me,
you'd found the sweetest thing of all,
You said one day of this,
was worth dieing for,
So be thankful, you knew her at all,
But it's no more.

And you probably don't wanna hear,
tomorrows another day,
But I promise you you'll see the sun again,
And you're asking me why pains the only way to happiness,
And I promise you you'll see the sun again

And you probably don't wanna hear,
tomorrows another day,
But I promise you you'll see the sun again,
And you're asking me why pains the only way to happiness,
And I promise you you'll see the sun again.

Secondly, A seventh book in a series by James Barclay is soon to be published.

The series, based on the extremely successful mercenary group, The Raven, was Barclay's debut series, the popularity of which rivalled that of David Gemmel, an already popular fantasy author. The series was broken down into two trilogies, the Chronicles of the Raven; Dawnthief, Noonshade and Nightchild, and the Legends of the Raven; Elfsorrow, Shadowheart and Demonstorm. The storyline continues on from book to book, with a pretty interesting plot throughout, and though it is basically just a trying to save the world plot, Barclay manages to keep it original through all six books, and has absolutely no problem with killing off the main characters, in fact managing to kill one off within the first chapter.

Dawnthief in the words of Amazon.com:
This energetic first fantasy novel is familiar in outline, but told with unusual intensity. "The Raven" is a group of seven mercenaries, just starting to lose their fighting edge, who reluctantly get hired by a mage from a college of magic with a nasty reputation for blood sacrifice. Their mission: to save the world from major bad guys called the Wytch Lords. These, defeated long ago at great cost, have escaped their sorcerous confinement and will be unstoppable once they've grown new bodies; meanwhile their teeming minions are already going to war. The only hope is Dawnthief, a lost super-spell which, if correctly cast, can zap even Wytch Lords--but make one mistake and the sun will never come up again.
A typical fantasy-quest shopping list emerges: you need the dragon-guarded amulet to open the ancient mage's workshop to find the portal leading to the demon watching over the parchment with the spell, which itself requires three "catalyst" talismans hidden in difficult places.
What makes Dawnthief a ripping yarn is Barclay's ruthless pace and lack of sentimentality. No character is too nice, innocent or important to die or suffer hideous tortures. The death toll is horrific, as are the many exotic ways of dying in this dangerous world. This is a breathless, action-crammed fantasy thriller.

Product Description

The Raven have fought together for years, six men carving out a living as swords for hire in the war that has torn Balaia apart, loyal only to themselves and their code. But when they agree to escort a Xesteskian mage on a secret mission they are pulled into a world of politics and ancients secrets. For the first time The Raven cannot trust even their own strength and prowess, for the first time their code is in doubt. How is it that they are fighting for one of the most evil colleges of magic known? Searching for the secret location of Dawnthief; a spell that could end the world? Aiming not to destroy it but to cast it . . . DAWNTHIEF is a fast paced epic about a band of all-too-human heroes.

I got extremely exited about there being new book, 'cuz the last book, Demonstorm, doesn't seem to leave it the storyline open for anything else.
Ok speech over . But seriously, if you enjoy reading fantasy stuff, these books are seriously worth reading. Amazon.co.uk has a 'look inside' thing on these books so you can read a chapter of the book before deciding whether or not to buy, so check it out!

Thirdly, thanks to Xibrei's idea of voice recording a convo with my friend/her boyfriend, me and a couple of other friends have managed to get the boyfriend arrested. He's at the police station atm, in a cell, and will hopefully be found guilty or whatever eventually. A slight down side to this is that my friend absolutely hates me for bringing charges against her bf, when she told me not to.
To be honest, it doesn't really bother me that she does, I haven't been getting on with her since she started dating him again, and I'm not entirely sure that I want to be her friend anymore anyway...
Does that make me a bad person?
