Phew, haven't been on for a little while due to a couple reasons. First, I went to see Ice Age 3 and Night at the Museum 2 with my family. They were both really good and funny movies. I think I like Ice Age 3 a little better, but Night at the Museum 2 was still pretty good. The originals were, in my opinion, better, but still...
My cousin in New York sent me Final Fantasy XII a few days ago. I've been hearing that any Final Fantasy past X isn't good, but I beg to differ. FF12 is amazing! The cutscenes look great and the voices fit well. Gameplay is different from other RPGs, but it's Square Enix, always something new. Now that I've played it I think I'll list the FFs I liked in order:
1. Final Fantasy 6
2. Final Fantasy 9
3. Final Fantasy 12
4. Final Fantasy 5
5. Final Fantasy 4
6. Final Fantasy 2
7. Final Fantasy
8. Final Fantasy 7
I haven't played 3, 8, 10 or 11. I'm fairly sure that someone reading this is surprised that I put Final Fantasy 7 last. I never fully complete that game because I lost interest in it.
The biggest reason why I haven't been on is because I spent a few nights with my cousins (different from the cousin that sent me FF12). It was agonizing!!! The oldest cousin is just a little younger than me, but she is so annoying! She kept on saying extremely inappropriate things when there were kids around. I can't stand it when someone does that. Kids are so innocent, they don't need to know about that kind of stuff! She was also extremely racist. Another thing I can't stand. She only hangs out with people of her race. She even dared to call me a loser...and like 20 other people. I've never seen anyone so conceited.
During the night she came in the room I was sleeping in and snuck up on me then sprayed me with air freshener while I was trying to sleep. Ugh, the next night she threw toilet paper at me when I was in bed...I felt like grabbing a big pie and throwing it at her! She kept calling me gay too just because I wouldn't watch a video of a woman doing inappropriate stuff. That REALLY ticked me off. Just because I don't like see women make a fool of themselves does not mean anything. I think there's something wrong with her. Her sisters think she needs help...
I don't get it though. She used to be so nice. We used to be extremely close, well until she moved away. Now I can barely stand being in the same room as her. I'm afraid of change. She's changed so much. I don't like who she's becoming. I still care about her, but I don't want to worry about her anymore.
I just don't know what to do. I could just flat out ignore her whenever I see her, I could be a jerk back or...I could get revenge. That wouldn't be me though. I'm not a revenge kind of person. Anyone have suggestions on how to deal with an annoying, obnoxious thing?

FF12 was good, but if you havn't played FF10 you should really pick up this game.

FFXII! I really don't care what people say, because that game is fantastic! I love the combat system, and you're right, the cutscenes are beautiful and the voicing fits the characters. The people that hate it are FF purists, and to be honest, if you aren't ready to change an outdated system, then you don't have good taste. I'm glad you're enjoying, don't get stuck at "The Wall" !

ebbderelict: I already tried telling her what I don't like about her. She just denies the flaws I state in her. My aunt knows that my cousin behaves badly. I feel sorry for her. Her daughter must be driving her mad. I'm so glad I'm home right now...
benleslie5: FFX huh? I've heard really good things about it. I probably will try it eventually.
Thunderstarter: Yeah, people shouldn't be afraid of new system. I mean, sure the old battle system was good, but I like to see something new. Don't get stuck at "The Wall"? I'm guessing it's one of those walls that close in on you that you have to beat up fast.

All families have someone like that. Find something that pushes her buttons AND PUSH HERS.

No FF10?!
You sir, are deprived
As for your "problem", the best advice I can give you is to ask your other cousins how they can possible live with something so evil... As long as you remember who you are and keep your beliefs straight, you will be good to go! Whatever you do, don't throw a perfectly good pie at her!

Ice Age 3 looks interesting, I might buy it on DVD/Blu-ray when it comes out since I didn't watch it (the only recent animated movie I've seen is Up).
It's nice that your cousin sent you Final Fantasy XII! The gameplay was unwelcoming but decent in the end and the graphics were amazing. I barely remember anything from the plot though. It was a nice game but not one of my favourite Final Fantasy titles. It's still very good though.
Also, your cousin sounds annoying. Her sisters are probably right when they say she needs help
It's odd that she used to be nice and close to you though but I guess she grew old and became like that. One of my friends described a situation like that too. When she was young (as in, Grade 1-4 or something), all her classmates were pretty close. Then as they grew old, a lot of her previous friends started ignoring her and began forming cliques. I guess it's just that phase of her life where just has no idea what she's doing. Hopefully she gets over it. Whatever you do, don't go for the revenge option.

Helostwin: I wish it was that easy. When I try to bug her she bugs me back twice as worse. If I ever do manage to upset her she makes me feel bad about it. Sometimes I wish I were meaner.
Dapieguyofdoom: Lol, yeah, wouldn't want to waste a delicious pie.
Platyphyllum: I wasn't really considering revenge. I don't ever recall actually taking serious revenge on anyone in my life. It just depresses me she, who was closer to me than any of my best friends, is now a completely different person.

I can understand why u didn't like FF7 as it's a 1997 game so if u played it after 5 years or more of its release, things seem old and low featured compared to the newer RPGs. Although this was one of the first games I played on the PS1 and the first game to give me the hype over RPGs and the FF series. Glad that u liked FFXII, I didn't like it as much as FF7 and 10, but the gambit system solves the problem of a solo-MMO type of game. The new dungeon system was great which I also hope that they will implement them in upcoming FF games as well.
As for your cousin, first of all, revenge is never the solution so u should try to avoid heavy or violent actions as they will most likely make her behavior worse. Secondly, u said that u talked to your aunt and she is aware of what's happening but yet shes now doing anything about it?
There can be 3 possible reasons why your cousin is behaving like that all of a sudden. First, it can either be lack of proper guidence from her parents or her teachers at school. Second, she could be having corrupt friends whom are teaching her improper behavior. Third, it could be a mental problem whether it had a source like watching too much over-rated movies or if it appeared by itself. Study these 3 reasons carefully and hopefully u will get to know what's causing her to behave this way.
Just remember, avoid heavy actions. Keep things smooth and things will get solved smoothly

I liked FF7 the most.

Well, my suggestion would be to ignore her.

bahamat0: I don't judge games based on graphics. I just didn't like the story. The gameplay was okay, but I still prefer Final Fantasy IX on the PS1. As for my cousin, she seem to have strange friends and her parents have given her far too much freedom which she has abused. Nope, my aunt isn't doing much because she doesn't know what to do anymore.
Bioshockraptor: Haha, bet my list is a surprise to you then.
paul939: Yeah, seems like the best option for me.

FF12 is great as far as i played than it became both hard and boring.I went only half way i think

How old is she? She doesn't need to see that ****! I would tell her parents if I were you.

rebelway: It's getting pretty hard for me right now, but it's still fun. I think I'm past the half-way point.
unreal1212: She's 16. A little over a year younger than me. I don't want to get her in trouble...I just want her to stop treating me as if I'm nothing. I do wish she'd watch more 'friendly' things though.

i took my cousins to see ice age teh other day, it was ok, I think the first one was funnier though the last time I saw it was when it came out, About final fantasy the ones that I like are:
1- VI
2- VII
3- VIII
4- XII (I barely tried this one)
the ones I didn't like:
5- final fantasy IX (I played all through the "epilogue?" let's say the beggining then I don't remember if I lost or what but I found that I have to played everything again -long cutscenes included-, it was a friend's game, I gave it back and never tried again)
6- final fantasy X-2: I can't really tell whether IX was good or not, but if you ask me about this one, I think it's a disgrace to the series, I wouldn't care if it was just an spin off, but the whole game is a badly written-love letter to ffX, it should have been made only as a sequel but it tried to appeal newcomers as a fresh experience adding recurring flashbacks or explanations about the previous game that alienated both people who played X and newcomers alike
--sorry I really hated it

The best thing to do would probably to just tell her all the things that you don't like about her, and hope it upsets her so much that she doesn't want to talk to you anymore. Maybe tell your Aunt & Uncle and try and shock them into doing something. But it's family, and if yours is like mine, they don't want anyone upsetting anybody and dare to expose the truth. It can be a tough situation.
