There are women at work, many with multiple degrees, who refer to this man as 'sex on legs'. Now, at the age of late 30-something (okay, 40!), it would be fair to say that I have been around the block a few times. BUT I CAN'T SEE IT! Whenever I see him, I want to take a bar of carbolic and a scrubbing brush to him. Not only that but I would unleash a rabid pitbull, if only to ensure the man has a haircut of some sort, even if half his face is chewed off in the process (Russell - save yourself; comb your mop). Hell would be offspring born of Russell Brand and Amy Winehouse! Good grief.
I also cannot take that dress sense (or lack thereof - I honestly feel compelled to start fires when I see him; should I be worried?) nor his obsession with his...er...tackle. What is that about? Is he supposed to be funny? Because he isn't.

There is nothing I don't know about this man! (Don't worry Adrian - I am not a stalker. Just someone who is very intrigued by your philosphies on life, your capacity to help others and the way you give time so generously for so many worthy causes - and all without the usual fanfare. I am also deeply impressed that you manage to keep so much of yourself and your life private. This says a lot about you as a person).
I do think Adrian should have been a bigger star. He has the lot - looks, talent (he can dance and fight with the best of them) and intelligence - but he has starred in some real turkeys. Sorry to say it Adrian. Bad scripts even worse dialogue. Not even a dreamboat like Adrian Paul can rescue a truly diabolical project. And that's a problem. As stated, Adrian has starred in many a turkey and some members of the public seem to think this means he is a bad actor. But he isn't. He is a good actor who has had the misfortune to star in more than his fair share of dreadful programmes.
Some of his best acting has been delivered throughout the Highlander series. There were some truly tear jerking moments (Tess and Ritchie's deaths) just as there were moments of real comedy (almost all his scenes with Roger Daltrey). Adrian also brings a lot to the Highlander francise. For the first time you get a sense of what it must be like to be immortal. You learn about his character's values. Although he must take heads, he plays by the rules and does not kill gratuitously. He has befriended other immortals when others would have been beheading them.
I believe that Adrian has brought a lot of his own values to the role of Duncan MacLeod. And thank God for it! "There can be only one" and as far as I am concerned, that's Adrian Paul.

Hal1b3r must really love MovieTome and agree with every review we've ever written! What other reason could Hal1b3r possibly have for not rating a single film?
