Finally, a week after buying a linksys wireless adapter thingy, I got my PS2 hooked to the interent. I can now play SOCOM 3 and Battlefield 2 Modern Combat online!! HOORAY!!!

So today I went to EB Games while my mom went shoe shopping with my little bro and sis. I look around at games for a while and decide to spend my hard earned cash on GTA: Liberty City Stories for the PS2 but of course I have to get permission from her seeing as its a Mature game and I am only 14. She comes back and when I tell her what I was planning on buying as soon as the words Grand Theft Auo come out of my mouth she instantly refuses. She claims she read that it is the cause of lots of teenage crime. I try to explain to her a) thats it is a videogame, b) I own Mercenaries which is a similar type game, and c) that out of the hundreds of thousands of people who play GTA, a few people turn bad and the game is blamed. Those kids probably had bad backgrounds anyways. Plus, I watch R-rated movies all the time that don't give any better influences. Also what she doesn't understand is that not letting me buy it won't keep me from playing it. Most of my friends have it and I play it with them. Well, I guess I'll just keep waiting for my first GTA.....................
