Well, we've hit our second month of 2010, and quite a year its kicked off to be at that. Last week we had the launch of Mass Effect 2, which suprisingly (atleast to me) recieved alot of hate, personally I thought it was great, I thought the feel of it being the "dark second act" was damn well translated and I for one cant wait to see what it all boils down to come the third installment...And then I'll pop ME1 back into my Xbox and start the whole bloody mess over again.
And yes if you havent already guessed, I have finished Mass Effect 2, it took me three days 30+ in-game hours, And much neglect to certain aspects of personal hygene, and that was just my Paragon playthrough. Now here I sit, three days older, a bit of growth on my face and in need of a shower, still in a bit of a state of shock with all that transpired in my story, and still trying to figure out what I'll be doing a bit differently for my Renegade playthrough. The only thing I cant decide on is if I want to replay with my Paragon and try to get through the suicide mission without losing anyone (I lost Legion, Jack, and Mordin) or play on and see what may come in 3...

But enough about me and my space soap opera that I've fallen in love with (I'm sorry assassins creed...it just pulled me in) ANYWAY! as some of you other tech geeks out there may know, today marked the 1000th episode of X-Play the one good show that redeems G4, save for Attack of the Show maybe. I'm just glad to see a gaming show that can make it on cable...its about damn time we had some media I think, but regardless so long as Adam Sessler and Morgan Webb are kept as the hosts I'll continue watching loyally, And no it has nothing to do with my crush on Morgan...partially...Adam also reminds me of myself a bit, seems to get absorbed into the same games and has that same bite on cynasism in just about anything he writes. But as I was saying, Props to you X-Play, and here's to a thousand more.

As a closing thought, in two weeks it'll mark two years for me on Gamespot (I just now realized I joined on Valentines day pretty sad eh?) and I dont usually go for the whole teary anniversary blog. But this year I have an idea to do a sort of a tribute to some of the people I've met on here, and gotten to know alittle bit, and maybe a small ode to the fallen I.E those who've been banned or just havent had the patience to put up with this site. We'll see in two weeks I suppose.

Ah yes and I almost forgot my quote of the day.

"Have you heard that it was good to gain the day? I also say it is good to fall, battles are lost in the same spirit in which they are won." *Walt Whitman*

Yeah, me again. I havent been on much due to the fact that I was spoiled on a cable connection for a solid six months and coming back to dial-up has just been far too painful. Add that to the fact that Uncharted 2, Dragon Age Orgins, and Assassins Creed 2 have kept me locked away in my room hermit style for the last few weeks.

My impressions of the three? Uncharted, yet another success of Naughtygod .

Dragon Age, a bit of a letdown after the hype put into it but still a satisfying, lengthy, well polished RPG. I beat it once through with something like 70+ hours into the one character, my first playthrough was made with a human warrior, I started a human mage but got sidetracked by the Assassin's Creed release, I'll most likely pick it up again sometime this week now that I'm all caught up.

Assassin's Creed 2. yeah I still sleep with the case under my pillow, I hear hate coming from one certain person who shall remain nameless in this blog (you know who you are you dirty vegan). I thought this one was a vast improvement over one as much as I did love the first game. The story although leading to another annoying cliffhanger did tie up a few loose ends from the last entry, combat was greatly improved granting stylish kills for well timed counters, graphics, typical beatiful next-gen stuff. All in all a satisfying sequel, I hope to have a reveiw up in decent enough time that people would actually give enough of a damn to actually read it. But we all know how I am about timely posts, we'll see.

This blog is a mite short and rushed I know but I'm just throwin up a quick little somethin while using my friend's internet connection. I should be picking up a gently used laptop around income tax season so we'll see if my activity doesnt pick up a bit then. On top of that, for the few guys I chat around with in the unions, I had been talking about a car that I was supposed to be getting from my uncle during my stay in Ohio, well I came home a couple months ago and that kinda just fell through as things usually tend to with me. But a few weeks ago (think it was about a week before thanksgiving?) anyway, I took a Greyhound BACK to Ohio to pick up the car, so I'm offically done bumming rides off all my friends. I now drive a powder blue Ford Crown vic, best part; it looks like an unmarked police car. I chuckle when people ride their breaks when I tailgate...It's morbid I know...dont judge me.

Ah and lastly the newest addition to my blog. The quote of the day!

"Whenever a man does a throughly stupid thing, it is always from the noblest motives" *Oscar Wilde*

Well a summer has come and gone, as just about all of you know I've been staying in Ohio working over the summer to try and make alittle extra cash on the side with my construction crew having all but stopped buisness completely.

About a month ago I got a call from the contractor I had been working for saying that he had another job that would keep me busy for a few weeks coming this October so I jumped on it. In short the point of this blog is to say I'm heading home tomorrow morning and that means slow ass internet once again. I might be alittle scarce around these parts until I get settled back in, but once I do I'd like to start maybe a real blog, seems I mostly just post random whatever-the-hell I want subjects which will probably still happen from time to time. But I'd like to start a series on something, just not exactly sure what quite yet.

If you have any thoughts on the matter speak up.

Some people just don't have opinions. Like H-A-V-O-K.
H-A-V-O-K must really love MovieTome and agree with every review we've ever written! What other reason could H-A-V-O-K possibly have for not rating a single film?
