Well, so I liked DA enouigh to go for some DLC. Both of them, actually, and they don't quite work. It's a bnit hard to explain the issue. The quest givers are there. When dealing with getting Shale, I get his rod, but the next place to go never appears on the map, and the location where I met the merchant disappears.

With the Tower one, the NPC is at camp, I talk to him and agree to go, and he's like great, I'll mark the map. Again. It never happens, and it doesn't seem to registr that I even agreed to help him. I realy didn't get a chance to deal with this issue having been going through the circle tower and the Fade.

I updated to the latest version, which broke my game. The launcher would work, but would never actually start the game. I had to get a Microsoft Update to fix that, which I'm glad worked. I hate dealing with reinstalls.

The patch didn't fix my issue, so now I've been told to reinstall the DLC which I'm going to do after this little frustrative rant. Actually, I'll do this while I rant, so that hopefully, by the time I'm done, things will be working.

Yesterday I decided to get Runes of Magic again. I had quit playing it awhile back, along with several other MMOs. Took 4 hours or so to update. I attempt to log in and there's problems with my pass. So i reset it, and it apparantely never stuck, cause I still can't log-in. That's irritating. If it doesn't work today, it gets binned.

Tried out Lunia yesterday as well. It's different from the typical mmo. You have an overhead view and use they keyboard (in my case a gamepad) to control your character. It plays like an old brawler with special moves and when you level you get points to learn more. It has your typical colourful anime look to it and the story is done in a weird comic style. It's been fun so far, I'm level 14 now, I think. It sorta reminds me a bit of how Guild Wars handles instances. Everyone is wandering around the towns, but when you leave, it's just for you and your party. The party system is really easy. You have a choice of entering an instance alone or in a party. If you chose party, you get alist of people recruiting, so you don't have to bother with all the LFG requests and waiting.

Someone I met there directe me to Dungeon Fighter, which is another action styled mmo. Your combat is like a fighting game. I have it installed, but haven't fired it up yet.

Tomb Raider Underworld is probably the hardest game I've ever played. Well, for a Tomb Raider. Mexico is like a maze. I was ready to go nuts dealing with that odd courtyard with the two dial puzzles. The dial puzzles were easy, it was just that timed section when everything is spouting fire and you have to hop on your bike and get to that area before it closes. That stupid spike pit would get me every time. EVERY TIME! and then you have to go and do it all over again. I was extremely happy when sheer luck got me through that. I'll be glad when I'm out of this place.

My DLC seems to be installing nicely. I have two characters right now. The Daelish Rogue and the Elf Mage. Still on the origin story of the Rogue, though I think I'll be carted away soon, since I've already dealt with Duncan destroying that mirror. The Mage went through the tower and also had the circle mages help me with the posessed boy in Redcliff. I want to go get Shale next and then do the stone tower. I want that storage box.

Interesting. THe updater log says everything installed correctly, however, the second bar isn't all the way across, though everything listed in that window has their status all saying installed. *blinks* And I've leet it sit for awhile. I think it's stil doing something. My cpu light is blinking and i've got nothing else going on. Hrmm. Well. I just closed it and we'll see what happens...

... And everything is working fine. Back to Ferelden I go.

Borderlands, Borderlands, Borderlands. *sigh* I'm beginning to wonder if I'll ever go back to it. I like it just fine. There's something about the humor of it all that appeals to me, I like the style, and it's just fun. I had a gift card to blow, and that's what I scored with it. I tend to use them on games I'm not sure about buying, that way I don't feel bothered much if they aren't very good. I also tend to me more forgiving, since price isn't a factor.

I haven't played Torchlight in two days. Same with FFTA2. I did progress a little bit more in Dragon Age. Turned out my friend was a blood mage. Ah, well. I just went through the scene where you meet the king and quit before doing any exploring. It's a nice, beautiful game, but I have to take it in chunks. I've been more in a fast-paced mindset, so I get impatient exploring and talking to people.

Some new stuff made their way into my collection yesterday. I picked up The Force Unleashed Ultimate Sith Edition for PS3. I really planned on getting it for PC, not only to shave a few $ off the price, but it's something I wouldn't mind having readily available on the go. Though, in light of what I already have loaded on this bad girl, I thought I'd do PS3 for the trophies. I won't get to playing it until I finish Tomb Raider, though. I really have a bad habit of not finishing games, so I'm doing my best to stay on track. I still have yet to really play Prototype, Death to Spies, and Velvet Assassin. Thre's also Last Remnant, finishing up the Fallout DLC, and I really wanna get through the Witcher. Ugh.

The rest of my loot came off PSN - Numblast, which isn't a bad colum game. The story is very weird, but I've had fun so far. Critter Crunch! Yay! It's so cute. Probably the best on out of the bunch is Marvel vs Capcom 2. I really wanted a new fighting game. True, with what I spent, I could have picked up Tekken, but I do have 5 and it still interests me, and I felt like i wanted to come away with more than one game. I'll leave Tekken for a possible holiday gift idea, along with Infamous.

Today I had errands to run and yard work, so all I managed was to squeeze in a little PS3 time playing the demo of Trine, which left good impressions on me. I love the storytelling and it's just a fun puzzle-platformer that makes me want to play through Lost Vikings again. Wanted to get a few bouts of Worms in, but ended up playing a little bit of Machinarium.

Tomorrow morning I'm meeting a friend for a bit, but hopefully I can get some gaming time in later that afternoon and evening after the daily grind. Fri and Saturday are wide open, so far, unless the honey made plans without telling me again. I'd really like to devote that to either finishing Tomb Raider, or just mindless Torchlight fun.

At any rate, my free time has vanished once again and I've animals to feed, dinner to make, then packing to do.

Well, the headaches have come back along with the allergies and itchy eyes just don't go well with pounding head pain. Gotta love a caffeinne addiction. Go 1 day without, and it's hell. I'll be meeting a friend here in a bit for coffee, so i hope I can hold out 'till then.

Torchlight is still at the top of my playlist, though Dragon Age has crept upward. I decided to try out an elf mage last night and the background is very interesting. It's not exactly a happy profession, that's for sure. The concept of tranquility is quite disturbing. I feel sorry for those mages, even those that chose it. I'd never want to live a life like that. So.. empty.

I didn't play for too long, but I finished my harrowing and got my full mage gear. I'm running around the place exploring before I hit the next plot segment. When that one friend of yours takes you to meet his girlfriend, really messed me up. Being a long-time GM and table-top role-player, I get into well designed games like this. So when I met the girl, I was like crap. just knowing about this makes me involved. and it seems that which is forbidden usually results in death, so I knew I wasn't going to help them. I'm going to try my hardest to play a good character, though. But I'm not going to act against the Circle. I really didn't know how to handle that situation, so I said i wouldn't tell anyone if I didn't have to. If it doesn't come up, I'm going to forget about it. If i happent to encounter someone and it crops up, well, they're gonna have problems.

Outside the stores, there was that elf who got promoted. I'm running around the stores getting rid of the spiders for her.

Still haven't touched Borderlands. Poor Borderlands. Brushed by the wayside for the moment. FFTA2 hasn't gotten any attention, either.

Off for errands and to meet my friend.
