As unelectable politicians popular with teenagers go, I have to say, I'm really feeling some serious nostalgia for Ralph Nader now that I've seen what Ron Paul mania looks lie. It may be that I came closer to agreeing with Nader than I do with Paul.Or, now that I think about it, maybe it's just that Nader's supporters didn't delude themselves into thinking he had a shot at anything more than a few percent of the vote, so they didn't come across quite so insane. But man, I can't wait for the Republican primary to be over. The political boards here are getting close to unreadable.

I believe you might be forgetting the possibly most unelectable, but smartest man who every ran for president.

Yeah, having your board flooded with Ron Paul supporters (only one of which is a teenager; JLCrogue turns 20 next month, and RedOracle, Overlord, DZA, and I dont fit that description)) is SO MUCH WORSE than having it completely dead.

It'll be such a relief when everyone goes back to ignoring the Garage is what you're saying?

Heh, I don't quite remember Ralph Nader supporters being so realistic about his chances of winning. Then again, I didn't see them as appearing less insane either.

I'm definitely a Paul supporter. I don't believe he is going to win for a second, but I certainly hope he does. There's a difference between having hope and having surety. Hopefully that puts me outside of the gravitational pull of the lunacy planet.

Writing off Ron Paul is a dangerous idea. He's on pace to raise 2 million dollars in a single day on November 5th. His fund raising is top notch, and its all done without taking a red cent from PACs. Im convinced that money will buy exposure. Exposure is key; people are bound to fall in love with his message.

I don't know much about Ron Paul, but what I've scanned at Wikipedia seems to sum him up as a compelling choice for president. His Pro-Life stance seems regressive though, on the other hand I agree with how he feels about the Iraq occupation, which to me is a trump issue like abortion might be to Catholics. If he somehow won the nomination and ran against Hlilary Clinton, I'd probably vote for him if he panned out to be as principled as his WP entry would have you believe. I'm still holding out hope for Obama.

My Grampa used to say where is Alf Landon when we need him?

Well my Grampa is gone but Alf has returned - now he is known as Ron Paul.
