I meant to write this on Monday, but I haven't had the time until today. Happy late turkey day to everyone! I was so glad for the four-day weekend because I really needed it (I've been sleep-deprived for the last couple of weeks). On Thursday I happily stuffed myself with turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, ham, and various types of pies and then spent the rest of weekend sleeping.
Anyway, I saw Twilight for my birthday on Sunday. As a hater of the all the books, I wasn't expecting much of it and went into the theater with very low expectations. But I was fairly surprised that I actually enjoyed the movie. The writing was well enough, all the actors did good jobs, and the director was competent enough and made great use of her amazing scenery. My only quibbles are the horrible effects (I know the movie was low-budget, but that's no excuse. Eternal Sunshine was made for less money than Twilight and that had amazing effects) and the lots of staring that Edward and Bella did. Thankfully I didn't remember every single details of the book and wasn't sitting there nitpicking evrything. I think that's what helped me enjoy the movie, I mean I wasn't upset that, as someone mentioned to me, Bella had a laptop or she wasn't wearing the exact outfit that was described in the book when she visited the Cullens.
