I was inspired to write this blog entryby dannyodwyer who made a blog entry titled 'Why People Don't Game'.

By curiousity, I was drawn to it, and see his take on it. Propelled by what he was saying, I felt inclined to write something, and that's exactly what I did. After thinking about my response, I thought I should create a blog entry on it, so see what you guys think (on my opinion and what stops people from getting into gaming). This is what I wrote in dannyodwyer's entry:

"Like raven28256 said, it is easiest to start gaming when your young, as it is with most things as children, we mould into things and it's alot easier to take things on board. For example, cantonese is one of the hardest languages to learn in the world (particularly as an adult), but a child could cope better with it.

Another things is it's a learning curve. We don't learn algebra at the age of 6, but we learn the maths basics and ease into it as we progress. This is where videogames come in. The things is, for people playing games in the NES era, Atari 2600 era, SNES era etc, the game commands were simpler, less combination of buttons needed and so on (although people could argue games were harder then). A lot of people have progressed so dealing with the more complex gaming options of today are a breeze. Even people who started in the PS1/N64 era, providing they were young enough or had a keen interest could ease into it, even as their first console.

It's natural that a lot of adults who have never played games (or who hasn't played games in years) would be put off by gaming today (accept for accessable gaming like Wii Sport or WarioWare), it's too much to take in as it's gotten to a complex stage over how it was 2 or 3 decades ago), and isn't instantly accessable. People who don't play games aren't going to find taking in complex commands fun, as it's more of an effort to play the game rather than the game serving the purpose it's suppose to, which is provide fun."

I mean, as someone who doesn't play games, what would scare you more?

I look foward to your insight .

Well, with Soul Calibur 4 announced for 2008 on the PlayStation 3 and the XBox 360, I (like many fans) were ecstatic with the news.

But from the Teaser Trailer and the Proper Introductory Trailer Namco and Project-Soul released, something a little alarming was realised, something about Ivy...

See, she has "evolved", but this evolution appears to be progressive as wiisixty from Gametrailers shows in this hilarious andexcellent video he created: Ivy's Evolution

Well, I'm not sure what Namco and Project-Soultrying to get at, but lets hope her fighting isn't hindered as a result!

Ivy Viva Evolution!

Well OK not quite, but as I'm rarely on this website lately, it kind of is, so this is a way of telling you all I'm not dead . And as I normally try and do my best to chip in on everyone's blog (just because its nice ), sorry I haven't been doing so of late but you know why now. GS Moments are coming few and far between, but with this being the exam period and holding down a part-time job, My free-time is scarce, and what makes it worse, my first exam was the 14th of May and the last one is on the 25th of June , thats 1 and a half months!

But anyway, I know the information is totally late but you've got to excuse me on that. When I was on IGN last night (first time in ages) I found some really interesting and on the whole great news about Mario Strikers Charged Football!!! Which is a definate pick up for me next Friday .

Here is the link if you till haven't seen it MSCF

Looks Promising, despite the Friend Codes (which is slightly annoying) it is all excently impleneted, with Friend info and something which is definately useful, an icon to tell you who and who isn't online , plus more. Besides I enjoyed the one on Cube, and this one seems better and the addition of what looks like a good impleneted online system (especially for the first online game in terms of Europe), this looks great. If I have sufficient time to play it, I'll write a review on it.

This is a promising sign for good things to come in terms of online.

Anyway, I think I've wrote far too much, but even if your not European, let me know on what you think about the game, I'm pretty sure N.A. is getting it July 2nd. See ya!!!

Some people just don't have opinions. Like Goku-stream.
Goku-stream must really love MovieTome and agree with every review we've ever written! What other reason could Goku-stream possibly have for not rating a single film?
