...it appears that tv.com doesn't give a rat's behind about dissatisfied users and all the promises about changes are about as truthful as a high school jock's assurances of "true love" while taking the panties off the cheerleader.

Professionally I have been beyond busy lately in a way that I never imagined could happen so fast and I have yet another cross-continental trip to take in just 10 days.

Having said that, I'll be damned if I am going to go quietly into the night.

As I said right from the start, this blackout plan was not a "one off" and I am prepared to "take it to the streets"

I have no intention of declaring here what the next step is, since my personal opinion is nothing says "thanks so much for the useless lip service" quite like a slap upside the back of your head. Particularly one administered when you are trying to enjoy a quiet dinner with that special someone.

I am ready to deliver the Internet equivalent to that slap to those here who have seen fit to jerk us around with promises of changes that have never come and explanations that have been so laughable as to be deliberately insulting.

While I normally quite enjoy various types of "jerks" circle and/or otherwise, I am not at all a fan of the type of jerking around we've all been party to here.

For those of you who have provided me your email address (that list now numbers over 200) expect an email from me shortly.

Had my professional life not suddenly demanded so much attention, I would have been leading the charge much sooner.

I will for sure need your support as we go forward, since I will be overseeing this from 3 different continents over the course of the next 5 weeks.

Thank God for the Internet which will allow this all to be possible.

Frankly, some extra hours and jet lag will be well worth it in order to make sure we are heard.

"Game On!"

Sup? That first colorful metaphor is both apt and funny. I wonder what's taking them so long to make with the changes?

I have actually switched venues, I was at livejournal.com for a while, however I've moved again and I'll be posting at http://sweetpeasurry.blogspot.com/!! Good luck on getting the 'powers that be' to actually follow up on their changes. It looks as if they did a couple of things just to 'appease' the masses. It's certainly not enough.

Game on indeed!

Game on.

I'm in for whatever it will take to get our site back. That this nonsense is still going on over two months later is insulting. If my company had hired a development team to design a website for us and they delivered something like this mess, I would sue them into oblivion! I had high hopes that the blackout would have put a fire under their butts and it seemed as though the message was getting through to them. But, alas, it was just so much smoke up our backsides.

I'll be waiting for your e-mail.

Unfortunately, I'm not the least bit surprised that they didn't follow through on their promises.
Posted Nov 23, 2008 5:28 pm PT
Glad to hear from you. And I'll be sure to grab a torch. and some gasoline. Anyways, I'm not to surprised that the results have been poor. But this isn't over yet. If these web designers care about keeping users on this site, then they're going to have to fix it sooner or later.

I knew nothing would happen from the "blackout" nothings going to change.. because they will just keep passing it on and on and NOthing will happen..its shame cause I know your trying

Let's get to work!
Posted Nov 24, 2008 7:03 am PT
somehow, this doesn't surprise me that nothing was done. That's why, I moved my actual blog to a different place. The only blog that I'll be posting here, is a link to a new blog post. Hope to see you there.

I hate to say, "I told you so", but... I knew this was coming. All the empty promises were just to appease us all and lull us into a false sense of comfort. They had absolutely no intentions of changing this site.
Posted Nov 24, 2008 9:32 am PT
There you are. I was almost starting to wonder where you were, and expected to hear something soon. Hope you're ok
Again, thanks for all your effort here
Posted Nov 24, 2008 12:28 pm PT
You can have my support! btw, is there any forum here that talks about that?
Posted Nov 24, 2008 12:33 pm PT
Glad we're about to move into action. ^^
Posted Nov 24, 2008 4:31 pm PT
I hope the enthusiasm remains after this lull, and the dedication required for Stage Two! Thanks for the effort, Glenn.

Game on! Oooh Rah!
Posted Nov 25, 2008 2:20 am PT
I've been so busy I've not noticed you were so busy.
Posted Nov 25, 2008 10:35 am PT
You can count on me to be there all the way to the bloody end, Glenn...
Posted Nov 25, 2008 10:49 pm PT
bring it on!
Posted Nov 26, 2008 9:50 am PT
Glenn, sorry I have been AWOL for a while and it stinks that things here are still the same. Some of my friends have left the site and it looks as if they will not be back, which is very sad. You have my full support, so let me know what I can do to help...

Mrs. Peel ...

... we're needed.
Posted Dec 18, 2008 12:24 pm PT
You most definitely have my support! The site has gone from lousy to lousier. I have been intentionally staying away so I don't appear to support them by visiting the site, but if I need to come more often in order to protest, just let me know.
