Hi Guys and Gals,

It's been a long time so I thought that I would come over and say Hi and see just how many of my old friends are still around tv.com. This place is definitely alot quieter than it used to be.

Real Life is treating me OK. We moved in to our new place about two months ago and so far so good. The kids are enjoying their new school and have settled in well and have made lots of new friends. That was always my biggest concern about moving. So since they are happy, I am happy.

I am considering going back to work. It's a bit scary. I have not had a job in 9 years (since my daughter was born.) I love being at home and I don't get bored at all but lately I'm starting to feel guilty about not working. I feel like I should be doing more for my family or something. My husband works so hard . He's terribly busy and stressed at the moment and I feel bad when he comes home and asks me what I did that day. "Chatted to some of my friends online, tidied up a bit and watched TV." I feel really selfish.

So it's typical that I want to go back to work and we're in recession where jobs are hard to come by but I'm going to try my best. If I can't find a part time office job, I'm going to try to get some substitute teaching work. Wish me luck.

E-Life: I have spending way too much time online lately. I have become addicted to a a live journal community called "Oh No They Didn't." It's basically just celebrity gossip which I really could care less about. The fun part is reading the snarky comments that everyone makes. Soooo much fun!

TV-Life. NCIS is still my favourite show. I must admit that it's not wowing me as much as it used to but that's to be expected after six seasons. I'm looking forward to the last few episodes of the season as there are some pretty tasty spoilers floating around at the moment.

I am watching Lost at the moment. I am about half way through Season 2 and loving it. It's such a unique show with so much going on at once. There are so many mysteries and twists and turns that it almost hard to keep up with. I'm trying to get through at least an episode a day as I have alot of catching up to do. My favourite character at the moment is John Locke. He's the most fascinating. He also is played by a brilliant actor.

I have also just discovered Skins. I have only seen about 3 or 4 episodes but I really like it. It's about a group of Brittish University students and their daily struggles. It's very angsty which I really like.

And I'm loving the United States of Tara too. Tara is played by Toni Collette brilliantly. She has multiple personalities and basically the show is about how her family cope with her mental disorder. There is also the mystery of how Tara ended up with this disorder as she cannot remember the traumatic event that caused it.

That's all for now.

I've heard good things about Tara, but I don't have whatever extra channel it's on. I'm cheap.

Good luck on the job hunt. Maybe part time jobs are easier to find than full time jobs. One can hope.

Agreed about how quiet it has been around here. Even in the last few weeks it seems to have gotten worse.

We have a part-time opening at our office! It's only eight hours a week, so it might be perfect. Let me know if you want to move again!

I agree it has been rather quiet around here of late. Am suffering from some NCIS disapointment myself...maybe we'll get some more zing later in the season.

HI!

All the best with finding a job. The economy may be a mess, but I believe there's always a place for an honest hard-working individual.

I feel the same way about my favorite show - Numb3rs - that you do about NCIS. They've changed the format so much that it's nowhere near as great as I found it to be before. It's still really good, but I have also been enjoying Without A Trace, Bones, The Mentalist and more recently, Eleventh Hour. Law & Order is still enjoyable also.

Have a great rest of the week.

Hi Auntie, I think Tara is on Showtime. I'm in Australia so we'll be lucky if it hits our TV screens sometime this decade. I'm watching it online.

It looks like there are a few projects that need doing at my husband's work. I might be starting next week! It's only temporary but it's a start. People are dropping off like flies around here. It makes me sad. They are people that I grew quite fond of and it's awful being cut off from them. Oh well, I guess I better try and make some new friends.

Hi Jesse,

If I move over there, I'll need a place to stay. I don't think Miss Priss would like anymore visitors so I'll stay where I am.

Hey Marie-Lee,

If the spoilers are anything to go by, I think we're in for a treat.

Hi Karl,

I agree. There is something out there if you are willing to find it. I love Without a Trace and I watched my first episode of the Mentalist last night. I quite enjoyed it but I find the main actor a little cold. I felt the same way when he was in the guardian.

I love Skins and United States of Tara. Marshall is the character who is growing on me the most surprisingly, but Toni Collette's acting is brilliant, youre right. And well, I guess Lost is an okay show...

Good luck heading back into the workforce too.

Hey!
Good luck on finding a new job.
I agree with you that things are a little quiet but believe me, the closer we get to May and the season finales the louder this place will become. That's how it is.

Hi Lee, Marshall is great. I like all the characters though, except for Charmaine but I don't really mind her either. Thanks.

Hi Andrew,

Yep. You're probably right. (As usual.)

Hey, you ;-) I saw a trailer for United States of Tara and will definitely check it out, it has a great premise. Tbh, I don't think you should feel guilty, it's not exactly easy being a house mom, so I've heard. You do a different kind of job, equally important.

Thanks Morky. Your comment makes me feel all nice on the inside. *hugs*

I'm still enjoying NCIS. I've also become addicted to Criminal Minds. I could never get into Lost. Maybe I'll have to pick up the dvd's and watch a large number of episodes together. Also, good luck on the job search. Don't forget, being a housewife IS a job. And one that requires MAJOR multi-tasking abilities. Don't sell yourself short.

Hi,
Glad the move is working out. Hope you find the perfect job Did you like the Vance episode? I thought it was fairly good. I'm still a little confused about the eyes surgery, but the storyline is very interesting.

Hi Lynna,

I've never watched Criminal Minds. I really likr Lost probably because it's different to anything else that I've seen. You're right that being a Housewife IS a job. I've always felt like it's the most important and rewarding "career" that I've had. Thanks for the lovely comment.

Hey Em,

I haven't seen the Vance episode yet. I'll be watching it tomorrow morning. I'm looking forward to seeing Vane and Gibbs interact. I think they could have an interesting dynamic.
