I haven't been tagged but I thought I'd give you some random facts anyway. ![]()
1. I'm renovating. It sucks. I've barely started. Everything takes twice as long as you think it's going to. I'm sick of it already and I've got so much more to do. It's also keeping me away from my computer so I have declared "Renovating" my enemy.
2. I'm a freak. I went to the dentist the other day. He took an x-ray and he said, "That is the biggest tooth I've ever seen. I'm not exaggerating. That is the biggest tooth I've seen in my entire career!" Really! I don't look like I have big teeth but apparently I have one huge one. FREAK!! It has to come out and I have to go to a dental surgeon and get put under anaesthetic. I'm sh!tscared. If I don't blog again after Oct 25th, it means that I died during the surgery. *spits on myself*
3. I just spat on myself cos that's what Greeks do to stop from jinxing themselves. (And I'm of Greek background for those who didn't know.) It's not like a big wet spit or anything. You just kinda say "puh puh."
4. I'm not all too happy with the changes at tv.com. I hope they iron out all the glitches soon and change this colour scheme. It's not bad enough to drive me away though. I'd miss you guys too much.
5. I'm so excited about NCIS coming back, it's not funny. I'm especially excited cos it's being fast-tracked onto Australian TV. We usually have to wait till February to see the new season. Now, we will only be a week behind.
That's all folks.
Comments
1. I know what you're going through; a few years ago I had to sleep for a few days on the couch cause my parents decided that my room needed a "restyling"...
2. I'm sure you're gonna be ok, don't be scared, you won't feel anything!
3. ha ha my friend used to spit over his right shoulder before every exam... said it helped him to not get jinxed (that a word?)
4. exactly what I thought the first time I saw the new layout...
5. well, you may be excited, but I'm literally freakin' out! luckily last sunday started the 5th season here (I've already yelled at the TV a few times... I want the name of the jerk who translated the dialogues!), at least I have something watch on sunday nights... I'm counting the hours to the season premiere, thank God I'll be able to download the episode as soon as it's posted.
Bravo Yankee Echo.
I'm a freak too, but it's because I have an extra piece of bone in my mouth, not a really big tooth. Good luck with your surgery.
1.: You are right, renovating sucks. We did it around May. But luckily they were done with my room in a day so it wasn't that bad. Because honestly, after I got my computer and my internet connection back I didn't really care about anything else.
2: I can't really say anything about that. At least in a way you are special.
3: Oh, I never do things like that, I am not the "jinxing" type. It's just one of those things I don't believe in. A friend of mine once told me that I don't believe in anything. She was right.
4: I like the changes, except the colour, it is way too white.
5: In Hungary we are only in the middle of season 4, they aired "Dead Man Walking" last week. But luckily there are other means to watch NCIS.
I need some clarification. Why are they extracting the tooth? Pain? They're not just Big Tooth Hunters, are they?
I'm not familiar with the spitting thing. I once threw up on myself, and I didn't feel lucky at all!
That reminds me, I need to finish my Random Facts! Thanks for the reminder!
Oh, no! I'm sorry. I hate going to the dentist also. I hope it goes really well and causes minimal discomfort.
4. Same here. 5. Yay! I'm so excited about NCIS. We'll have to discuss the episodes after you get them!
You should do fine with the dental procedure. It's not like the dentist will do it without the painkillers.
And just think new NCIS on Tuesday. (Or rather, Wednesday for you Aussies and Kiwi's)
I think we all feed off each other's excitement and get even more excited when it comes to NCIS. Bring it on!!
Yes these tv.com renovations didn't go too well. I blogged from tv.com though and it seems to have gone OK.
LOL. No they are not tooth hunters. It's decayed and causing me pain. I can avoid losing the tooth by having braces for two years and having some other stuff done to it at a cost of between 10-12 thousand dollars. That number hurt more than the toothache I've got.
The spitting thing is huge in Greek Culture. It protects you from the evil eye. I don't buy into any of it but it's better to be on the safe-side.
I've missed you heaps. I've been so busy.
Yay for NCIS. I'm only going to be a week behind. Woohoo.
How much do we love Channel 10 for fast-tracking NCIS? *gives a cheer*
Now if only I can avoid the forum and not get any spoilers for a week.
Procrastination should be my middle name. Sitting here chewing the fat with you guys is sooo much more fun. It will be good once it's done though.
"Everything takes twice as long as you think it's going to" is actually a good motto for life! It's also very true when it comes to setting up technology.
I don't think anyone is happy with the changes. I have found a very small number of things that are better, though. A few things that weren't working before are working now, although I'm sticking to Movie Tome for now.
All the best with the tooth. That's no fun, but you will get through it.
I actually had to go to Gamespot to even read this message. It's very pretty over here! So even replying to my blog comments is taking twice as long as it should.
