...It's off to work I go!!

Tomorrow is my first day back at work after about 9 years!

I'm so excited but a little nervous at the same time.

I'm going to work with my husband for a couple of months just doing some odd jobs at his office.

Wish me luck.

Also, I finally watched the latest NCIS episode today. I really enjoyed getting to know Vance a little better, even though this episode opened up a whole new can of worms where he is concerned.

*hugs everyone*

Hi Guys and Gals,

It's been a long time so I thought that I would come over and say Hi and see just how many of my old friends are still around tv.com. This place is definitely alot quieter than it used to be.

Real Life is treating me OK. We moved in to our new place about two months ago and so far so good. The kids are enjoying their new school and have settled in well and have made lots of new friends. That was always my biggest concern about moving. So since they are happy, I am happy.

I am considering going back to work. It's a bit scary. I have not had a job in 9 years (since my daughter was born.) I love being at home and I don't get bored at all but lately I'm starting to feel guilty about not working. I feel like I should be doing more for my family or something. My husband works so hard . He's terribly busy and stressed at the moment and I feel bad when he comes home and asks me what I did that day. "Chatted to some of my friends online, tidied up a bit and watched TV." I feel really selfish.

So it's typical that I want to go back to work and we're in recession where jobs are hard to come by but I'm going to try my best. If I can't find a part time office job, I'm going to try to get some substitute teaching work. Wish me luck.

E-Life: I have spending way too much time online lately. I have become addicted to a a live journal community called "Oh No They Didn't." It's basically just celebrity gossip which I really could care less about. The fun part is reading the snarky comments that everyone makes. Soooo much fun!

TV-Life. NCIS is still my favourite show. I must admit that it's not wowing me as much as it used to but that's to be expected after six seasons. I'm looking forward to the last few episodes of the season as there are some pretty tasty spoilers floating around at the moment.

I am watching Lost at the moment. I am about half way through Season 2 and loving it. It's such a unique show with so much going on at once. There are so many mysteries and twists and turns that it almost hard to keep up with. I'm trying to get through at least an episode a day as I have alot of catching up to do. My favourite character at the moment is John Locke. He's the most fascinating. He also is played by a brilliant actor.

I have also just discovered Skins. I have only seen about 3 or 4 episodes but I really like it. It's about a group of Brittish University students and their daily struggles. It's very angsty which I really like.

And I'm loving the United States of Tara too. Tara is played by Toni Collette brilliantly. She has multiple personalities and basically the show is about how her family cope with her mental disorder. There is also the mystery of how Tara ended up with this disorder as she cannot remember the traumatic event that caused it.

That's all for now.

I'm stealing this idea from my new friend MovieMark.

"I'm gonna put my Ipod on Shuffle and write down the first 20 songs that come up and explain why they are on there and why I [may] like them, no matter how embarrassing."

Here Goes:

1. The Rollins Band: Starve. I'm not a huge Rollins fan but I like the odd song. This one's pretty good.

2. The Cult: She Sells Sanctuary. Not a huge fan of the Cult either but I love this song. It's my second favourite Cult song after Firewoman.

3. Celine Dion: If That's What It Takes. I'm not a huge fan of Celine Dion's either. Why is all this stuff on my ipod?? This song is crap.

4. You Am I: Minor Byrd. Now this is more like it. You Am I are one of my favourite Australian BAnds. I've seen them heaps of times in concert and tomorrow they are performing at an all day music festival that I'm going to with my hubby. Can't wait!

5. The Fireballs: Spacemen Rock and Roll. This song kicks butt. The Fireballs are a three piece psychobilly band.

6. Cat Stevens: But I Might Die Tonight. So mellow and so peaceful. I love Cat Stephens. I actually won this CD at a Cat Stephen's Tribute night I went to. They drew tickets in a lucky door prize and this pregnant lady won one and her husband won the next one so they gave it to me cos I was the only person who stood up so she could sit down. Aren't I sweet?

7. The Beatles: The Night Before. I've loved the Beatles ever since I could remember. This song is cute. The Beatles should come up fairly often when I shuffle cos they make up about 10% of the songs on my ipod so far.

8. The Grease Soundtrack: You're the One That I Want. This is the first CD that my daughter wanted to load onto the ipod. Her favourite singer is John Travolta.

9. Chase the Sun: Farewell. My husband discovered this band by accident in a pub one day and now we've been to see them a few times. They are very bluesy and the lead singer is one of the best guitarists I've ever seen.

10. INXS: Us. An INXS song from their latest album with new singer JD Fortune. It's a great song with awesome vocals by JD. Long time readers of my blog will remember that I had "JD Week" a while ago. I am rather obsessed by him. He's the BEST!!

11. Gruppo Sportivo: Disco Really Made It. Gruppo Sportivo are a Dutch band formed in 1976 who are similar to the B'52s. One of my old high school teachers put me onto them. Their music doesn't have a lot of substance but it's great fun.

12. Elton John: Part Time Love. What a delightful little ditty. I hadn't heard it in years.

13. The Doors: Riders on the Storm. All time cla$$ic.

14. The Cruel Sea: This is Just What it is. I love the Cruel Sea. They are a grungy Aussie band. Their lead singer, Tex Perkins is dripping with charisma. This song is an instrumental which I'm not a big fan of. I need some lyrics.

15. Reef: Summer's in Bloom. This band disappeared into oblivion but they were really good. I can't understand any of the lyrics but I try to sing along anyway.

16. Crowded House: All I Ask. Probably the best Australian Band of all time. (Tim and Neil Finn are New Zealanders though ) They are headlining the Festival I'm going to tomorrow.

17. The Vines: Homesick. This band are OK but this song is a little boring.

18. Crowded House: Kare Kare. My favourite song so far. The lyrics are so beautiful.

19. Metallica: Better Than You. I used to hate Metallica. What was I thinking. Now they are one of my favourite bands. They have kahonas.

20. Pearl Jam: Animal. My second favourite out of the twenty. I like Pearl Jam more and more as the years go on.

Gibozzo must really love MovieTome and agree with every review we've ever written! What other reason could Gibozzo possibly have for not rating a single film?
