So, I just became an X-FILES fan about 2 years ago! Watched all 9 seasons including the first movie. All that time I wondered if it was possible a new X-FILES film would be made, so I looked it up. To my surprise, I found that there was a law-suit that had been going on for a long time between X-FILES creator, CHRIS CARTER and 20TH CENTURY FOX. I also read that DAVID DUCHOVNY, who play FOX MULDER, constantly promised a new X-FILES film was in the work. He's been saying that ever since the show ended with THE TRUTH in 2002. Then all the "squeeing" X-FILES fans finally read that the lawsuit was over and a green-lit second X-FILES film could be made. Finally, late October we all "squeed" with joy as it was confirmed that shooting for the film would begin late 2007! So, finally, here we ALL are waiting less than a month for the new film to be released in theaters. The official website, xfiles.com, has since launched with a bunch of fun stuff included. I just want to especially say "awesome job" for all the long-time X-FILES fans who held on to what they loved and always "Wanted to Believe" a new would be made. Well we can all believe again, as the latest chapter in the great sci-fil thriller series comes to life on July 25th. Can't wait to talk to you guys/gals about the film!
On to another exciting project. Most of you know that I love GIANT MONSTER FILMS. Well, July 26th features a new DAIKAIJU film. It'll be released in Japan as GIRARA NO GYAKUSHU/SAMITTO KIKI IPPATSU!, in English is translates to GUILALA'S COUNTERATTACK: SUMMITE CRISIS!. I'm expecting some cool movie memorabilia, from the movie, in the mail soon. To watch the theatrical trailer, go to guilala-movie.com.
So, all in all I'm very excited for this month! X-PHILES and Giant Monster movies fans should be very excited!
Peace,
~Matt
So, basically this list below is what really makes me, ME.
1.) My love for the genre of giant monsters is the KEY to my happiness. I honestly don't know exactly what I would have done or enjoyed if it wasn't for my dad one day saying, "Matt, come look what's one tv.". What I saw on the television 14 years ago gave me the key to unlock my happiness that will continue for the rest of my life.
2.) Entertainment. Kind of like the giant monsters thing. I NEED entertainment to stay happy. I get it from television shows like LOST and THE X-FILES, and other things. Without me getting into these things, I would be...nothing, just a person that likes...nothing.
3.) Religion. I don't follow any religion, and here's why. I believe in god, I just don't want to follow the 'wrong" religion. There's so many, how could I know which is right? So, I avoid religion. I respect people who do follow religions. Everyone is equal.
4.) Future. I have no plains on taking any kind of role in getting a huge job. I have a job right now, and I'm perfectly fine with it. I just want to live, have fun, and take on whatever hits me. I don't want to set any goals and fail, so I simply say that I'll take on whatever blasts in front of me.
So yeah, those are 4 things that make me, ME.
Take care,
~Matt
A new giant monster movie is coming out in Japan later this Autumn. It'll be based on the Daikaiju(japanese giant monster) called, Guilala. It looks like the film we be a type of comedy/spoof on the genre. Guilala was featured in a movie made back in 1967. For now, here's some information about the film:
English title:
The Monster X Strikes Back: Attack the G8 Summit
The original Guilala movie was entitled, The X From Outer Space, so that's where the X comes from.
Casting:
Natsuki Kato, Kazuki Kato, Susumu Kurobe, Yosuke Natsuke (aka Yosuke Natsuki), and Beat Takeshi (aka Takeshi Kitano).
Plot Synopsis:
In the summer of 2008, the G8 Summit is held at Lake Toya, a beautiful resort near the volcano in Hokkaido. At the same time, a Chinese rocket falls onto the island, causing a monster to be born from a spore attached to the rocket. The monster, Guilala, moves toward the summit conference site in pursuit of volcanic energy. The U.S. president proclaims, 'I will never yield to any monsters! Nobody calls me a chicken.' Other leaders reluctantly switch the sign board from 'G8 Summit' to 'Guilala Task Force'. Now they have to terminate Guilala to show their countries' power and prestige. The first mission is a missile attack by Japan, then Italy, Germany, and.... Deadly combat between human beings and the monster from outer space continues. However, when everyone starts to give up, a journalist finds a strange group worshipping the traditional idol at the lakeside.
