I never played Guitar Hero, but I don't really see the hype to it. My deal with it is that if you are going to play real music, why not play on a real guitar instead of an imitation. I don't get it. Plus, you can create your own music with a instrument.

I've actually talken to a lot of hardcore guitar players and they don't like Guitar Hero very much because of that.

Thats a stupid reason not to like the game. The controller takes about 5 minutes to figure out every single mechanic of the thing. An actual instrument takes years to get any good. Frankly, i don't want to wait 5 years to learn how to play freebird.

It looks fun as a video game to be fair, and I've seen my brother get incredibly hooked at it at the video store. I know the learning curve is much easier in Guitar Hero than in real life, but that's where one of the issues lie. The game isn't very difficult, especially if you are a good player at ryhthm games. I guess it can prove to be troubling at times with newbies.

I don't play it either. It's nice to know I'm not alone.

I prefer the real thing.
