Wow, so the weekend is over. Who here in the states got their fill of the opening weekend for NFL? I think I watched almost every freaking game! There were some great ones for sure.
So Friday night, as I was playing some Tiger Woods 2010 with some friends, my 360 locked up three times within about a 15 minute period. After the 4th time it would no longer turn on
Yup, got the good ole RROD... third time for me. I swore up, down and sideways Friday that I WOULD NOT go buy another 360. Umm ya, that lasted less than 24hrs as I found myself at Gamestop at 10am to buy a new spanky Elite. Looks great, the black case matches my TV, PS3 and audio amp.... it looks much better than the white.
Moving on the the blog title: Snakes!
This spring, while doing some gardening, I spoted a Black Snake in our yard. I saw it from inside, and by the time I got outside with my camera to get some pics,it had moved on, could not find it. Now fast forward a few months to yesterday.
Stacey had walked out the front door to smoke, within about a nano-second the door opend and she called me in a hushed voice asking me to come outside. So I did. And right there, in our front yard, in the bushes right next to the front door was this....

There they were, sunning themselves on top of the bushes. We did a little research, they are Easterm Garter Snakes They are totally harmless, and eat mostly slugs, frogs and any other little bug they can catch. They next in dark, moist places (under our deck) and breed in late summer, and can hatch up to 70 eggs! They go into hibernation in October. We saw probably about 6 of them, but I am sure there are more.
Blog word #2 : Scams!
This is my public safety announcement for all the female gamers out there. DO NOT FALL FOR THIS SCAM!!!!

That is all, have a great week!

Anyway...sorry to hear about your 360. Man, it's so common to hear from folks whose systems crap out on them. It's just crazy.
I am really happy that NFL started! And I am happy about 49's winning...
I am kind of respectful about snakes. there are not too many around here
Snakes aren't really my favourite animals along with crocodiles.
Plus, that's a silly scam. Who'd fall for it other than a drunk Sorority girl? Oh, wait....
