I've managed to come to terms with the harsh reality that I'm never going to be able to find the time to write full reviews for every single game on the Sega Mega Drive Collection. I mean, I haven't even finished that Ocarina of Time review yet. However, I've managed to write the next best thing - a series of short reviews of Mega Drive games. And not just any short reviews; short reviews in limerick form. Here goes...
Alex Kidd in the Enchanted Castle

Alex Kidd is stuck in the past
A forgotten relic that didn't last
You might call it treason
But there is a reason
He was usurped by a blue rat that runs fast
Altered Beast

I won't complain that you can't save
Or that the main character doesn't shave
But I can't help that Zeus
Sounds like a bit of a goose
When he shouts: "Wise Fwom Yor Gwave!"
Ecco the Dolphin

If I had to be a bit picky
I'd say that Ecco can get tricky
Do you think it's ironic
That this game outsold Sonic?
At least that's what I found out from Wiki.
Golden Axe

It's worth it for the funny cries
That play whenever someone dies
You might find that mean
Or even obscene
But I love watching them and their demise
Ristar

In his game, you play as a star
But don't think this game is sub-par
You attack with an embrace
Followed by a hit with your face
And yeah, it's just a bit bizarre.
Shinobi III

From the text above, you can see
That this is Shinobi number three
Taking a guy's life
By throwing a knife
As a ninja on a killing spree.
Sword of Vermillion

It's an old fashioned Role Playing Game
And as they go, this one's pretty lame.
The graphics are poor
Just play Phantasy Star IV
It's better and actually has an aim.
