I'm not sure what my luck is with the world of videogames because my brothers had purchased two 360 games on clearance from Target on Tuesday. Those games were Guitar Hero: World Tour ($12.99) and Fable II ($19.99).

Of course none of us can play World Tour because we have no properly functional guitar controller for the 360 and we have the Rock Band 2 controllers for PS3. On the other hand, I will be the only one playing Fable II and that is a game I had not planned on getting for a while. I haven't even beaten Fable: The Lost Chapters yet and I got that back at the end of 2006.

Having only played Fable II for two hours or so earlier, I can say that this sequel looks very promising in terms of exploration. However, I've seen games that are graphically superior to Fable II. The graphics do look very nice though. I still need to play more of it. I just hope my dog doesn't end up dying.

EDIT: I just looked at Fable II's release date. It was bought on Tuesday and I didn't play it until Wednesday, the 21st. Fable II was released Oct. 21, 2008. I played it exactly one year after its release date. I'm actually kind of surprised and amazed right now.

...and he told me about where he went to buy it. Target didn't have it, so he went to the nearby Gamestop and asked the guy behind the counter if they had a new copy of Soul Calibur: Broken Destiny. The guy behind the counter said "Yeah." and he pulls out the UMD inside a little plastic bag.

So my brother is like, "That's new? No thanks." He then went over to Fry's Electronics to buy the game. After hearing this story I was laughing my head off.

Dear God, I will continue to never buy anything "new" from Gamestop.

Two days ago, I bought three used games at Gamestop:

Sly 2: Band of Theives (PS2)

Viewtiful Joe 2 (GC)

Mario Party 4 (GC)

The thing about used games is that you have to make sure the disc isn't messed up. Of course, these were fine. The great thing is though that Viewtiful Joe 2 was $2.99! Sly 2 was $6.99 and Mario Party 4, unfortunely, costed me $19.99. The last time I got a game for $2.99 with the disc in good shape was Max Payne (PS2).

And since I mentioned Gamestop, some prices on some of those used games are a bit questionable. The 360 version of Splinter Cell: Double Agent was there for $12.99 while the Xbox version was $19.99! Also, Marvel vs Capcom 2 on PS2 was $79.99! That's about to be downloadable for crying out loud!

I also find it odd howa game has a higher price than the exact same game next to it. As I mentioned above, I got Mario Party 4 for $19.99, however there was a MP4 next to the oneI got priced at $24.99. Crazy, huh?

EDIT 5/30/09: Okay, I know why Mavel vs Capcom 2 was so much nowbecause there weren't that many copies of the game madefor PS2 and Xbox.
