You'll need to see this in the wide version (so not just directly on my profile page), otherwise the picture will be cut off.

EDIT: BLARGH MJ YOU LIE! Alright, fine, looks like it's not actually wider when you click into the post, so you'll just need to view the image seperately in your browser (right click image - view image)

Well, I recieved a tablet a couple of months ago for my birthday, and after it had sat for a while, pretty much unused (as I've been busy with Uni), I decided to make good use of it, and try my hand at making a web comic!

Now, this is the first time that I've actually drawn something properly on the PC (using a tablet), so I'm a bit new to it, but I gave it my best shot. And I'm pretty happy with the end result, although I found out that I'm pretty bad at drawing hands, and pants (yes, pants ).

And incase people notice the similarity between this, and Penny Arcade, then you'd be right, as I tried basing it quite a bit on the style of Penny Arcade, as I like the way that they're drawn. And if you haven't seen Penny Arcade before, I'd recommend taking a look, it's one of the best web comics around .

Anyway, here's the comic; any suggestions, criticisms (or just "good job") are appreciated, so feel free to comment away!

Heh that is pretty good for your first time, how long did it take you?

thats pretty sweet! I took a comp art class way back and they made us use tablets, which were pretty neat. Ive never used a tablet at home though.

It is funny! I have 2 things:
1) What is a lucky dip?
2) You could make the comic clickable, so that the whole comic opens when you click on it.

@ CodingGenius: A lucky dip is when you have a few games or candy or whatever and you don't know which one to pick first, so you put the items into a bag and choose at random.

good job

haha, ok I'll type more. First, yeah...I did lie. I thought the width was the same size as the banner. But in my defense I did say I had never done it! I think this looks awesome. For a first job, WELL DONE!

metalmouth14 - Don't be so hard on yourself, you should give it a go

fastesttruck - I'll make sure that I remember that, I'm about 99% that I'll keep making them on a weekly basis now .

-DarthMaul- - Thanks! It took me about 3 hours to do that from start to finish.

Allicrombie - Cheers! Yea, I actually did consider at one point last year whether or not I wanted to do some sort of arty class, but decided to just stick with IT/Business. I do enjoy doing it though.

ArmoredCore55 - Thanks for the comment

ishoturface - You just need to right click the image and click on view image

kcwsk8 - Good old GS system only going down to 1.0

Sidburn19 - Thanks for the comment! And yea I'm most likely making more in the future. And I am winner .

TheC0m1ssar - Thanks! And yes, PA is awesome .

siberian142 - Thanks for the kind words! It's G013M though, not GO13M Don't worry about it though .

CodingGenius - Thanks! Yea, as Sid said, a lucky dip is pretty much a box where you put various items in (games in this case) and you grab one out, it's the luck of the draw. And that's a very good idea I'll be doing that next time.

MJ - Thanks.

MJ- Ok, I'll type more as well I know! And I'll never forgive you! And thanks!

It looks fine to me for a first, you'll probably get a lot better the more you do it, the hands/pants look fine to me, it's better than I can draw.

Big Rigs ftw! But points off for praising Penny Arcade.

I like it, very good for your first. Keep it up

It made me laugh (specifically the 'WHAT THE HELL? BIG RIGS?!' line haha), so good job.

Pants are hard to draw. Great first strip. Keep them coming!
