Ok... this is just funny.

I LOL'ed in real life. Along with hangover cures and bikini babes, I wonder if the mods ever check the upper right hand corner just before they nail someone for using too few asterisks to cover the word "poop". ![]()
EDIT: Here's the new one... and oh it's SO good.

That... is an ad here on Gamespot. Now how does that and the Meagen Fox one... etc... how do these conform to the TOS that is so rigidly enforced? Really...

Let me be clear, I'm not offended by the content... I'm offended by the hypocrisy of the modding policies and practicies versus the site's own content. What do you think?
Anyway, this isn't a review, it's a rant, and I'm annoyed. I'm a moderate fan of cricket and games like this don't help dealing with friends who consider that mad. Ai yai yai.... Cricket; the stats and graphics and teams should be doable in the 8.0+ range, so why do we get a 6.5 (at best)?
I'll tell you why, because we're going into a third decade of expecting games, unlike other products sold to consumers, to be a crap-shoot at best. Something about game development, in the deadlines and resources and planning seems to go awry FAR more often than it goes right. Imagine a world in which the average car was a busted Yugo; such is the world of gaming.
Of course, there are the Cadillacs amongst the Yugos, and the sleeper hits, and would-be sleeper hits that are great, but hidden amongst the Yugos. No wonder we all cling to sequels and genres since it's hard enough to find really TRULY good or great games at all! Why branch out into strategy, or a new sport when we can relive WWII... again.
Is this a problem with the gaming industry, or is this a problem with most people and I, and seemingly many others are part of a vocal minority demanding change, quality... and for god's sake a little more LENGTH. I'm sitting here looking forward to Batman: Arkham Asylum, but reviews have already made it clear that while it is a great game based on a beloved franchise... it's about 12 hours long... the LONG way! Still 60 bucks though... *sigh*
