OK, right now I am So *%%*%$#%&*^$%^ (*%$$^&&*ed off I can hardly contain my anger and frustration. See, about a year ago, I had started purchasing comic books on dvd that I can read on my laptop. I have the complete run of X-men including all the spin-offs and mini series, Legion of Super Heroes, Justice Society of America, Infinity inc. Dreadstar and many many others. All told about 5,000-8,000 comic books including a complete set of G.I. Joe. So last nitht I finish the Marvel run of G.I. Joe and I switch discs to go to the next series....and it don't work.....in fact, now none of my cd's or dvd's work. So I did what we're supposed to do in these kinds of circumstances. First I performed a system restore. No luck there, but I wasn't really expecting anything. Next, I did a system recover. If you don't know what a system recover, it should only be used in THE MOST DIRE OF CIRCUMSTANCES as it restores your laptop/pc back to it's original factory settings and you have to go back and re-add all of your old websites and passwords all over again, and it is generally a big pain in the you-know-where, but I figured it would be worth the risk if the problem was with my drivers and not my disk drive. NO SUCH LUCK. So now, I am stuck with NO comic books to read (I read 10-15 a day) until I can either afford to have it fixed, afford an external dvd drive, or afford a new laptop. In other wors, I will probobly NEVER be able to finish reading my comic books, which if you haven't guessed are VERY important to me.
