Free at last! Free at last! Thank god almighty, [I am] free at last!
YES! I've surprisingly survived my first year at college and boy, does it feel good to be home. The meals are free, there's no classes or homework to deal with, no potheads smoking by your bedroom window, and well, as they say there's no place like home. Although, it's not without it's own downsides. My hometown is the equivalent of hicktown USA. No mailboxes, malls, Walmart, stop lights, etc. And to top it off, you can't go to the grocery store with out bumping into a bajillion million people you know. For once, I'd just like to get my milk and bread and NOT have to talk to Joe or Jane. But enough of that, let's get down to another subject: TV/Anime.
I haven't been interested in any Anime on TV for about a year now but after reading an announcement on ANN's site, I might just turn on the tele once again. Here's what it said -
"Sci Fi's Channel's schedule indicates its Ani-Monday block will premier with Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex - Solid State Society on June 11 at 11:00 pm ET."
Sci Fi? Showing SSS? A month before its DVD release? AWESOME! I'd preordered the LE months ago but still, this is great news. I wonder if there will be any editing (if at all)? Does anyone know the channel's policy on what they can or can't show. Eh, SSS's content isn't worse than the TV series' from what I remember so it should be OK. I guess we'll just have to wait and see ^^;
Hmm... and speaking of Ghost in the Shell, I bought Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence (UK DVD) from Amazon UK. It was my first time importing something and I was anxious as all hell. But much to my surprise, it came 6 days later w/o a hitch.

Also, the director of SAC, Kenji Kamiyama, is working on a new series called Seirei no Moribito (Guardian of the Sacred Spirit). I've watched the first four episodes and have been absolutely lovin' it. This is animation at it's finest. Though, hopefully after this is done Kenji will consider tackling a 3rd Gig (You know you want it.
) What's it about? Well, a kick ass, spear-wieldin' bodyguard named Balsa, that's what! At the beginning of the series, she is set with the task of protecting a young prince from assassins sent by none other than his dad (the emperor). Sounds pretty simple on paper but trust me, there's a lot more to it. ^^l

I'm also watching Darker than BLACK, Romeo x Juliet, Gurren Lagann, Claymore, El Cazador, Bleach, Naruto Shippuuden, Death Note, and Nodame Cantabile. So needless to say, I have a lot to see this summer ^^; *yawns* mm.. don't feel like typing more. Well, I better get going. Ciao and adios.
Honey & Clover II and GITS:SSS, ftw! =D
Anyhow, now that I've wasted 10 seconds of your precious time; how about I kill a few more minutes if that's OK w/ you. If not, turn around and exit to the door on the left. Thanks!
Numero uno reason why I haven't stepped foot here since June/July is college. Preparations and then finally attending it. All my impressions can be summed up in one single word - wow. The words 'high school' were synonymous with 'hell hole' but university's a whole different beast. Everything is so casual and cool. Football players/Cheerleaders have friendly conversations with nerdy math majors and so on. Basically, clics have been abolished. It's amazing. Not to mention the diversity. We've got blacks, Asians, homosexuals, people of different religions/faith, anything that moves. There's so much opportunity to extend one's horizon by talking to people around campus. I know I've learned a thing or two. The only downside so far is A.) I'm jobless, thus making me poor B.) No TV at all. Those two things should be remedied by the end of the semester though so it's all good.

Oh, wow, looks like TV.com has received a face lift since I last dropped by. It seems alot more ..how do I say it..organised? Is there anything else I've missed? Anything important? 0_o
April and May were, simply put, crazy! I'd of never thought final exams and graduation could sap so much energy and time out of a person. And now that it's over, it's kind of sad. I won't ever step into a high school again as a student, anyway.
Fast forward three weeks and here I am. Without school, a job or any kind of care in the world. Well, maybe not the last one but it's been pretty swell. Which makes me wonder why I haven't headed over to this site sooner? Oh well.
Lets see, what else? Show-wise, right now I'm covering .Hack//Roots, Monster, and The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. All of them are pretty good.
And that's about it. Seriously. *doesn't feel like writing a novel*
