for a while now, i've had people tell me that Gamestop rips people off, but never really gave it a thought. well, today, i
found out first-hand. i went to trade in 60gb PS3 towards PS3 slim, but before i did, a lady there got into an argument w/
the employee. she brought something in june & was there returning it. she wanted her refund. gamestop employee was
insisting that he couldn't do anything about it b/c she purchased the product in june & they have a 30 day return policy.
she was cursing & causing so much commotion, but gamestop employee held his ground & told her that he couldn't do
anything about it, but when it was all said & done, he did do something about it. he gave her the refund she so
desperately wanted. she ended up getting her refund... of 5 dollars & change. all of that complaining over 5 bucks.
anyway, she got her refund & departed the store. i was next. i gave gamestop employee PS3 w/ cables & all. he tested it
on a small screen telly & everything worked fine, but then, the bullshine began. he told me that i was gonna get a
deduction off the trade-in toward the slim. the 'problem'? the on/off button wasn't touch-sensitive. wtf? i had the 60gb
PS3 since june 2007, & the on/off button was never touch-sensitive. i would have to press a liitle hard to either turn the
PS3 on or off. he claimed that it was supposed to turn on/off by lightly sliding your finger over the button. he went to
check how much the deduction was gonna be & it was 60. i asked him if he could let me 'slide by', just like he let the
hostile refund lady. he didn't let me. he said that her case was a different situation. what an imbecile. i could've gotten
120 off the slim, but instead i got 60 off the purchase of the slim, just b/c the on/off button wasn't touch-sensitive. that's
bullshine! it still worked! i ended up paying $232 for the slim. i got a $25 bonus discount or something. i got ripped off,
but i still ended up buying it b/c i wanted it badly before i got MW2. my old PS3 got the YLOD 3 times. case & point:
Gamestop ripped me off. waaaaahhhhh!
ma name's Fantasticus, i was born in November of '88 (lol) & i'm a... guess what? a gamer! that's right, i'm a gamer & owner of a Sony PS3. unfortunately, it's the 'fat' version. i am hoping to upgrade to the slim version anytime now. the kinds of games that i enjoy are platformers (Super Mario games, Ratchet & Clank Future), action adventure (the God of War games, the Uncharted games), survival horror (Resident Evil 4/5, Dead Space), & last but not least: first-person shooters, like Resistance 1 & 2 & the Call of Duty's. two of my favorite games of all time are probably Resident Evil 4 & of course, the wildly successful Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, which i am extremely good at btw. i pwn noobs all the time ravaging them w/ my shotgun, XD
