Well it seems I can't go a week without picking up a new game now. I was trying desperately to hold myself off until Soul Calibur IV, but I guess I failed.

Anyways, I finally decided to purchase Eternal Sonata. Probably stupid since we now know for sure that it's coming to the PS3 soon, but I couldn't resist my RPG urges.

I've put about 2.5 hours into the game so far and WOW do I love it. It's exactly the type of game that I was looking for. Oblivion is great, but just not quite the game I have been looking to play. If I had to choose one word to describe this game, it would probably be "stunning". The graphics in this game are pretty much unmatched in beauty.

Seriously, this game has brought a new love within me for cell-shading. I loved Rogue Galaxy, but this game truly brings cell-shading to new levels. It really is one of those games that makes you feel like a kid, but in a good way. My friend, who knows nothing about RPGs, made fun of me when he was with me when I bought it because of the cover art.

Oh well, I love the game . The combat system is incredibly fun. It's kind of unusual, but very easy to catch on to. So far, I've just had a blast with the game and hope I can see it through like it deserves.

I also had the pleasure of picking up 21 on Blu-Ray today.

I saw this movie in theatres and loved it and had decided it would be my first Blu-Ray purchase in quite a while. I'm trying to build up my Blu-Ray collection in hopes that the mass switch will come in the next year or so.

Anyways, these purchases should finally hold me over until Soul Calibur IV, one week from today. I'm excited to finally have an RPG I was looking for in my possession.

ARRRG!!! You're making me really impatient for the PS3 port

I can't wait to play Eternal Sonata.

21 eh? I remember enjoying a lot of those Casino cheating specials on the Discovery channel, so I might check this one out.

I'm still undecided on ES. I've read many user reviews, and they all say it is beautiful, but they also gived mixed opinions with regard to the story. And most of them lean in the negative direction, not to mention it is not really my type of game in the first place (with respect to the themes, as you know I love RPGs). Glad you're enjoying it though. Maybe once it gets a PS3 release, receives a price drop, and if I'm running low on good games to play I'll give it a look.

SymphonyCometh: Yeah I couldn't resist any longerrr I love jRPGs

I love the movie. It's about a group of students from MIT who fly to vegas on weekends and count cards at casinos and bring in huge profits. It's based on a true story.

club-sandwich: I think you should if you like jRPGs, but who knows

N-REAL: Ha, I wish I could hold off that long...

DraconigenaDeus: Yeah, the story is kind of out there compared to most games I've played so far. It really is kind of a...warm, tingly story as opposed to what you might like. I really love the battle system though.

I have Eternal Sonata. It's alright, but nothing mind-blowing. I do love the graphics like you though. I plan on buying Batman Begins on blu-ray now that they released it last week, and am definitely getting TDK on blu-ray when it comes out.

Blace: Ha, I agree completely. I re-watched my DVD vers of Batman Begins the other day and it was awesome, though of course not as good as TDK. Yeah, the story in Eternal Sonata is almost laughable so far, but I don't mind a light story. I really like the battle system though and the graphics of course. I hope we see some more cell-shaded games that look this good.

Cool, lets play those games online sometime. Add me to your PSN, and what servers are you playing at on WoW? I'm mainly on Andorhal playing with my Druid and stuff. We should kill stuff sometime.
