...my damn 360 broke! And it ain't a warranty covered fix (i.e. not 3 red lights). Dragon Age was cut brutally short

Oh no! Are you gonna send it for repairs? Or get a new Arcade and keep your hard drive?

Been a long time since I've heard about one of these. My last was 2 years ago. But I also had 3 lights and mine was within warranty. I'd say give it a shot and simply call MS. .. If you don't shoot you'll be sure you'll miss ...

@ mufujifi and Smitticus ! - Apparently it's a fix that costs me some money (because it isn't a fail that falls within the 3 year warranty repair), and that cost was substantial enough to warrant buying a new 360. And amazon had a very good deal of an Elite 360 with 4 games and an extra controller for just under 200 quid. So yeah, I'll be skint for the rest of the month, but needs must 
And in all seriousness, next year is going to be a year of MUCH fewer games purchases. I need some more money in my bank account considering I'll be 30 in a few years and don't own a house yet! I've highlighted about 6 games across the year (Mass Effect 2, White Knight Chronicles, Ar Tonelico 3, Atelier Rorona, Resonance of Fate, Infinite Space). Of course I'll never stick to that, but I'm really going to try to not buy that much more and just focus on my older games if I run out. Unlikely, as Disgaea 3, Agarest, Cross Edge, Dragon Age and Dawn of the New World should keep me going a while.

Damn, that's very unfortunate. I'm sorry to hear. Yeah, maybe you should get a cheap Arcade bundle, and use your previous 360's Hard Drive, so you can carry on with your previous saves and achievements. Unless of course there are better bundles going in the UK. I hope you can find a reasonable way to replace your 360.
