I just read RPGfan's review of Nostalgia - apparently it was the reviewers biggest disappointment of the year, yet he awarded it 73%. Something not quite right there. After that negative review, I would have expected a score in the region of 40-55%. I'm not sure I get why people seem to think '7' is an average score. Surely if a game is average it should get '5'. If the game truly is mediocre, then that score isn't going to reflect that on sites such as metacritic. Oh well, that's it.

Heh, and if I enjoyed Black Sigil somewhat, then I'm bound to like Nostalgia. Either way, it's on my want list

I'm tempted to buy the Japanese version of Nostalgia, for the sake of it's amazing boxart and logo. 
Yeah, that review didn't make much sense. It reminds me of the Legend of Legaia review on RPGFan from about ten years ago. The reviewer was going about all it's bad aspects (it ain't as bad as he says) and saying that's it's only rent worthy, yet he gives it 80%.

@ XFull_MetalX - I guess you're right
@ ShadowLaguna - Yeah, that box art is really good... I would probably give Legend of Legaia 70% which would be good, not average, but via this guy's standards, that would be a slating. Ah well. Random fact, I bought Legend of Legaia for 20p from a car boot sale. I was so glad that the seller didn't realise the true value of the game

Meh..Nostalgia didn't look that great. Gamespot will probably give a 6.

I've... never heard of Nostalgia. Ugh I'm really behind gaming news nowadays. But yes, I'm with you there on the confusion about why people seem to think a 7 is an average score.

@ mufujifi - I wouldn't say that Nostalgia has had much hype, I've known about it for some time as it piqued my interest when the world travelling aspect reminded me of Illusion of Time on the SNES. Don't feel too behind
