It's election time people. I'm sure you have all heard the phrase "every vote counts" but my question is if the person you vote for loses by a thousand votes, or wins by a thousand how exactly does your one vote count?

Actualy no popular vote counts, only the lectoral vote counts, so why do we vote?

Interesting question. Well, I guess because if those one thousand people who voted, one by one, didnt vote because they thought that their vote didnt matter, then there would have been a tie. One vote matters because....if one person votes and another person votes and more people vote, it accumulates into a large amount of votes. So if everyone thought that their vote did not count then no one would vote. And if no one votes then who wins cannot be determined and everyone's opinion wouldnt count in major decision such as in this case who becomes the next president. Its difficult to explain.

It is almost similar to saying little things make a big difference.

Ani_Manga200: Those electoral votes seem to be the most important.
I haven't voted yet, i'm not sure if I will.

Clana_345: You have a good point. I guess it's like monkey see monkey do. If one person votes maybe they can get more people to vote, like you said.

"Little things do make a differerence". Women tell me that all the time.
