Go Shane go!!!
UCB admins and mods are powerless, it's much harder to find information because the frontpage is not even sorted properly by categories. At least the blog phase of Gamespot is now over.
For some reason, my family mentioned how smarter with people I've become (the real-life taru), I guess it's just a by-product of the aging process.
I joined ZDNet in 1998.
Back then, E3 was exciting, people talk about things for weeks and weeks after the big event, even though July and August are traditionally the dry month, with few games coming out.
Fast forward to today, a few weeks after E3, my second console launch, with next to no news about next generation systems, not even current generation systems. The boards have never been as dead as before, even the ones that are supposed to be the busy ones. And Gamespot boards aren't the only ones suffering, although they are doing worse than places like IGN.
Gamespot as a site is doing very little to help the problem, instead of putting up more news and previews, we see more video segments that regurgitate things that can all be read in 2 minutes, the amount of new information each day is surprisingly scarce, if the trend continues, Gamespot might very well find itself irrelevant.
