My two cents on this subject is that piracy is not killing the PC. Piracy has been around for a long time and only recently when the drm's started rolling out did this actually become a vocal issue. This leads me to believe that though it is a problem, it has been touted as the worst thing to happen to PC games in the history by the companies that are responsible for making some of the most intrusive DRM's in existence. EA i'm looking at you, I hope you get your ass sued off for the **** that you are pulling. Sony started this with the drm on cds, remember the one that could blow out your speakers if it decided that it wasnt coded properly because it was a copy? DRM's are what is killing PC gaming now, case in point, SPORE, people downloaded nearly as many copies as were purchased because of the draconian digital rights management that EA forces on its customers. Also, when companies say that people will torrent their game if there is no drm, I call ****. Look on isohunt for Sins of Solar Empire. You will not find a single torrent of the game. I wonder why, A its an amazing game that deserves your hard earned dollars, B Stardock doesnt look at us as basically scumbags and trusts us to buy it if we want it. Here's an idea, make a game worth the price tag you put on it and people will buy it. Again I'm looking at your EA; you've started making some great new games starting some new universes, but for the love of all that is holy, your are killing the most versitile and entrenched gaming machine currently in existence. And all those that are putting DRM's on your games, you are doing the same, shame on all of you.
Some people just don't have opinions. Like EverestMan.
EverestMan must really love MovieTome and agree with every review we've ever written! What other reason could EverestMan possibly have for not rating a single film?
