Chris Farley is one of the most remembered veterans of Saturday Night Live. Known for being extremely physical and active despite his 290-pound frame, Farley wowed audiences across the country with routines such as "Chippendales" and "Matt Foley, Motivational Speaker."

Though Farley never was a favorite of critics, his movies- "Tommy Boy," "Black Sheep" and "Beverly Hills Ninja" remain cult favorites among several loyal fans, as sources of cheap laughs and genuinely funny entertainment.

Off-screen, Chris Farley was not a happy man. He suffered from extreme levels of nervousness (one of the sources of his "profuse sweating" while doing live interviews and other sketches) and used heroin and cocaine to alleviate his demons.

It was often said that Farley admired fellow "SNL" cast member John Belushi. And, in a terrible bit of irony, Farley passed away at the same age as Belushi- of the same cause.

Chris Farley was an amazingly funny man whose life was cut short far too soon.
