"I love 'Guitar Hero' and I think it's a part of pop culture. I would love to do a 'Guitar Hero' movie, if Activision would ever let me. I'm trying to convince them, but why would you have a movie screw up such a huge franchise? Not that I would make a bad movie. So that would be cool, to do a 'Guitar Hero' movie. "

And here is his idea for the plot:

"It could be about a kid from a small town who dreams of being a rock star and he wins the 'Guitar Hero' competition. One of these dreams-[come-true] kind of concepts."

Could this be the dumbest thing I've heard all year? Oh, wait...

My personal comments:

This is from In Focus, a news source we get on Gamespot sometimes.

Heres my honest opinion, I think a Guitar Hero movie would personally suck, they shouldn't waste they're time making a movie and wasting ideas on a movie when all that energy could be put towards a new Guitar Hero video game. Maybe they said in the past when creating video game movies that those movies should have just stayed in the video game franchise..well Guitar Hero certainly takes the cake when it comes to that argument, sure Tomb Raider or even DooM, maybe bad decisions to make into a movie...but Guitar Hero??? What are they thinking?????? CAKE TAKEN!! Worst idea for a movie based off of a video game of the century.

Best idea I could get of this ill-fated movie, all I can see throughout the movie is about a no-lifer that lives at home, and every second of his free time is poured into a Guitar Hero video game, playing people online, and if he loses or doesn't beat the high score he rants about it for hours, and it shows him on the phone with his friends, and going for snack runs at the quickie mart, 30 minutes of the movie wasted on him in the quickie mart buying snacks and making really stupid conversations, please dont make this movie.

And if its not about that, the closest idea I could get besides that to a Guitar Hero Movie, is a battle of the bands type scenario where a bunch of odd ball new bands show up on stage and have a tournament to see who can rock the most, still a bad idea, could be a cheap comedy movie if that.

Sometimes I wonder with movies like this, its a cheap attempt to make an already popular game into a crappy movie, for the sake of raising the companie's crashing revenue and funding if only briefly so they will only fail borderline and not miserably, just enough for a cheap amount of money.

Closing comments if who ever had this idea for a movie thinks it will be successful in any way, with so many critiques out there, then by all means, Rock on with your idea!!

Thats right, you heard me, for my small crowd of Eternal_Insane blog viewers, *cricket noises*, I can finally play my system games online, with my PS3. First and only game I tried out for now of course was GTA IV, its fun, it was a new experience for me I enjoyed it, but I had to pull myself away because I had other matters to attend to. Deathmatch mode and Cops and Robbers are currently my favorite two modes, I've hardly had time to try the other modes but I will eventually get around to it all.

I was quite fond of a certain player I competed against in Death match, because he was very smart, and he soon realized I was no pushover either. Time after time I caught him off guard with a rocket launcher, I guess he was too far away to see that I had one, yes he had a good vantage point up on top of scaffolding and bridges aiming down at me, I park a fair distance away as I'm speeding around in a pick up truck around the factory, I pull out the rocket launcher and shoot it, with smoke trails behind the rocket, soon he realizes I have something deadly, and these times hes tried to make a run for it, but too late, the rocket exploded near him, his fiery corpse flying down to the ground below as I laugh, and hes thinking "WTF", what a great moment indeed. I literally annoyed him so much with my kill count against him he quit his own game, I hope we can still be friends as I want to challenge him again too, he killed me quite a few times too, he was good unlike a few players on there.

I heard of a possible release of Resident Evil 5 around 2009-2010 ish, any other release rumors from any of you?

The game looks great as you can tell from screenshots they have given us. (Which we could use some new ones by now, its been nearly a year since any fresh news, vids or screen shots has been posted for this game.)
