Okay, so I just saw the Twilight movie last night, which was premiere night, and let me tell you, even if the movie had sucked, which it didn't, I would have had a lot of fun.
First thing that happened was that I got my tickets from Cosco, but they were the kind you had to redeem at the box office for a ticket to a particular movie. So when I went to redeem it, the guy told me they sold out so he couldn't give it to me. So my first thought? Sneak in. Which was ridiculously easy. My friends who had actual tickets went in the theater while I waited out in the food court, then my friend Valerie came back out with a ticket stub for her and for me. Then we went to the ladies room, came back out, and proceeded to walk past the ticket checker guy. When we asked if he needed to see our stubs, he just glanced at us and said "no, you're good". LOL.
So, on to the actual movie. As I said, it BLEW MY MIND. I've seen just about every movie based off of books that I could get a hold of and Harry Potter, Narnia, and Eragon have got NOTHING on Twilight. Even if I weren't such a huge fan of the books, I would have said it was a beautiful movie. And it was, it really was.
First of all, there's Robert Pattinson, who plays Edward. I had my doubts that he would do his role justice, but he really brought out the best of the Edward all us Twilighters know and love. And what I mean by that is the awkwardness that ive always imagined Edward to have with Bella in the first book. He did it perfectly, mood swings and all.
And Bella was also a great choice, especially when you see the chemistry that she has with Edward. It is hot. To the point where the most obnoxious crowd I've ever seen in a movie theater actually shut up during the kissing scene. You could hear it when we all stopped holding our breath, it was that intense.
But the entire movie isn't all serious. There are some pretty funny parts, like the first time Edward says hi to Bella. Very eloquent, Edward is.
And it's always entertaining to see Jaspers face.
Jessica's description is completely accurate, he does look like he's in pain, especially when in close quarters with Bella. And the part where Bella goes slightly schizo in the hospital at the end.
All in all, it was a truly great movie, even if you're not a fan, even if you're not into vampires. Just go watch and see what I mean!
