What is the Best 3rd Person Game ever played?

Will the best third-person game be Resident Evil 4 or Gears of War? I say it have to be Gears of War because of it's intensity and multiplaying that makes the damn game so fun. Gears of War to me is probably the pinnacle of third person games, and maybe the last best third person game.

I will admit that Resident Evil 4 was maybe the best single player adventure EVER created on a video game, but loses the attention of playing this game for the next five years.

Gears of War has my vote, what's yours?

Tough to say but Resident Evil and GoW are different forms of an action platform. Gears is more of a science fiction action title while Resident Evil is horror, suspense based. I suppose I’ll make my decision if and when RE will be released for the 360.

I don't know about that game, I played and seen many other reviewers see that game as a living hell nightmare. With snipers being so no scoping, Ghost in the Shell is not a fun game.
