Okay, so this blog will mostly be about the anime I'm currently watching. I'll give you a brief summary or description of each.
Bakemonogatari: I haven't seen it yet, but I'll start tomorrow.
Canaan
In simple terms, it's a terrorist series. Although it does it have some bad*** moments. Episode two specifically.

Hagane no Renkinjutsushi (2009)

Fullmetal Alchemist second series. For those of who read the manga, how many more anime episodes do you think there will be? It's at episode 18 and the arc that just finished was
***SPOILER***
Needless

My absolute favorite new series for this season. This show can give Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann a run for its money. It has all of the epic but none of the mecha.
The Needless' have abilities from Fragments such as copying an attack, shape-shifting, invisibility, fire, speed, and power. There are awesome fights and the main character, Adam Blade, is a priest, like Abel Nightroad from Trinity Blood.
There's more than just fighting though. Here's a paraphrased quote from the most recent episode:
Adam Blade: I already told you; if you want my body, you'll have to lick my *** in the nude while wearing stockings!
Kuchinashi: I will never do that! And I don't remember the part about the stockings!
Kuchinashi is one of those anime characters that doesn't talk and speaks with flash cards. You can see more of her and the other loli characters, Setsuna and Mio, in the end credits.
Saki: See "Bakemonogatari".
Shugo Chara! Doki!

It's a decent kids series, but I fell it has been dragged on for too long. However, I have an Editor's responsibility for the show guide at TV.com, so there's no way I can just drop it.
Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu (2009)

A lot of people are currently complaining about the "Endless Eight" arc, so I'll leave this alone for now.
Umineko no Naku Koro ni

From the makers of Higurashi no Naku Koro ni. I haven't seen Higurashi, but I'm sure it follows a similar format. It's very suspenseful and I can't wait for the next episode.
Zan Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei

This anime is currently on it's third season. Very few anime get three seasons, so that should be reason enough to watch it. It's also been nominated for "Best Shounen Manga" and has Japanese mangaka and idols work on the show like Rumiko Takahashi and Yuko Goto.
That's it for anime that have new episodes. Here are the older series.
Grenadier: Hohoemi no Senshi: Rushuna Tendo, a gun-weilding foreigner, travels throughout Japan.
Fate/Stay Night: Masters and Servants fight in the Holy Grail Wars.
Hyakko: A simple, schoolgirl, slice-of-life comedy.
Ikkitousen: A great series for plot and fighting, but famous for pantsu.
Kiss x Sis: A three episode OAV about Keita and his two step-sisters, Ako and Riko.
Kodomo no Jikan: Ni Gakki: The second season of the loli series.
Majin Tantei Nougami Neuro: Like Death Note, but with far more awesomeness.
Zero no Tsukaima: A human gets sent to a world of magic and wizards.
I finished Suzuka this morning. The ending was good, but I felt that some characters got gyped; mostly the main character's best friends.
I also saw Makai Senki Disgaea and read the manga. I'm also thinking of buying the game.
I watch the dub of Gundam 00 on SyFy.
As for manga, I'm currently checking out Love Hina, Rozen Maiden, School Rumble, and Yotsuba&! from my local library.
Someone on The Japanese Export Union brought up Murder Princess sp I might watch that before I forget about it.
Speaking of OAVs, I might also watch Genocyber soon. When I initially saw the preview for it on the Tokyo Babylon tapes, I thought it looked boring. When I saw it had only five episodes, I thought "eh, why not?"
Since it's from the 1990s, it might be a little hard for me to watch. The only cyborg from an anime I remember that originated in that decade was in Digimon. It's also known as being voilent, but I've seen both Elfen Lied and Bokusatsu Tenshi Dokuro-chan, so I'll be the judge of that.
Wow, I never the math [adding], but that's 24 series to potentially finish before the summer ends.
