Stargate SG1 is an amazing show.  It has been on for nearly 10 years now (July 12, 2006) and it still draws millions of fans and still lives up to its reputation.

The Gould and Replicators have been eliminated, but SG1 encounters a new enemy, the great and powerful gods, the Orii.  They have "wise" and powerful messengers, Priors, spreading their word through a book/teaching called Origin.  Massive battlecruisers and a supergate give them all the technological advantage they need over all the races in the galaxy.

Earth and the "Milkyway" galaxy are threatened, but many problems are still around.  Ba'al is regaining his lost power as a secretive businessman on Earth and a powerful military leader as a Gould.  99% of the people on Earth still don't know about the Stargate, which is getting increasingly harder to cover up.  The Asgard are rarely seen, let alone provide help, but they must be regaining their strength as well.

SG1 will probably endure for at least a few more seasons if they come up mind-blowing episodes like The Reckoning, The Fourth Horseman, Arthur's Mantle, and Camelot.  Stargate SG1 will continue to prosper and will probably my greatest show of all time. Go SG1!  And don't give up Atlantis!

I like reading what I like to read, but otherwise I only watch TV on my free time.

I like fictional shows that respresent reality. Stargate is Sci-fi, but contains action, suspense, special effects, drama, etc. Over There is a very dramatic show that goes over the lives of a squad that is fighting in Iraq, yet jumps into the lives of people at home affected as well. The OC is a dramatic drama about Orange County life; Laguna Beach is a semi-reality TV show that acts out problems and hook ups between clicky groups. 24 is the best spy/action show because it shows the worst case scenario in a twenty four hour (season) day for one man.
