Today is my birthday and I should be very happy because I learned this week that Sonic is coming to my area. The first one opened 2 days ago but it's 15 miles away (or 17 if I take the tollway, which is faster but costs more money).
So I drove there at 2 pm to get a coconut shake and the line was too long. The guy guiding the traffic said I should come at 10 am, but I don't usually want a shake that early. He said it will probably take 2 weeks for the crowds to die down.
While I was in that area, I brought my bike to ride on parts of a bike path I hadn't been on before. I discovered they built a bridge across the street where I planned to join the path. However, there was only access to the path from one side of the street and I was on the wrong side. So, I had to cross the very busy street and then take the effort to get up the bridge.
I rode my bike 59 miles over the last 8 days.
Jul 23: 9 mi
Jul 24: 12 mi, and got flat tire
Jul 25: 12 mi
Jul 27: 13 mi

Today I also got a coconut milk shake at Tastee Freez. It's not as good as Sonic but the closest Sonic is 150 mi away. Usually I go to Dairy Queen for shakes.
Jul 31: 10 mi
Aug 03: 18.5 mi on perfect path but drove 35 mi from house (1 way).
Aug 06: 13 mi. It was on a hilly street and seemed way more difficult than previous ride.
Aug 19: 18.5 mi
