Anybody out there up for some pillaging and plundering?
I was gone for awhile.
Don't ask.
Good thing is, I'm back now and ready to rock out loud.
The pinnacle of 2005's Survival Horror genre. Resident Evil 4 still remains one of the greatest of titles down the line. It presents non-stop thrills that reel you in to the edge of your seat and doesn't just send chills down your spine, but taunt you enough to want you going back for more.
The game's stunning production values rival those of a movie-like feel (complete with wide screen) and exciting cinematic presentation.
Gameplay is cleverly designed with stunning panache, inspiring the over-the-shoulder camera system that would be looked up to by future games. Accompanied by creative context sensitive actions, instantaneous quick-time reaction events, it all wraps up in a hectically entertaining adventure.
Resident Evil 4 might not have moved the series' plot forward but it has certainly renovated the classic formula with a daring and memorable entry that can never be duplicated.
